South Beach Casino & Resort

Always good food and good fun. Have been going to South Beach since it opened. Only a 35 min drive from the north perimeter and #59.

Good place to eat. Portions and prices are decent. Lots of games to play. Parking is also plentiful.

We didn't stay at the hotel but I don't know that I'll go back there again. The machines are all big and glitsy. I didn't see anybody winning any money so to speak. The machines make so much noise when they dispense your ticket that after a while, I couldn't stand the noise. The only thing I liked about it is they do give you money for your points.

It was my first visit to this location with my family. Unfortunately I had a bad experience. Number one was when I had checked the beds before setting in I found crumbs and had to asked front desk to change them for me. The service was done right away which I thank them for. Number two was when we were getting breakfast I ordered 3 hamburger steak and they came to us completely burned, another inconvenience / waste of time. They completely gave us new ones which me and my family were alright with.The only thing good was the casino part and staff. I might come back and give the place another try and hopefully get a better experience.

In 45 years of travelling throughout Canada and the U.S., we have never had a more unpleasant hotel stay then we had this past weekend (Feb 25/23). The singular bright spot was the spanish speaking woman at the front desk who checked us in. Smiling and inviting all the way, and a pleasure to deal with. It went completely downhill from there. This is the first time in about 10 visits to this hotel that we were put on the second floor. We've always stayed on the upper floors in the past. ALL evening long, and up to nearly 2AM, there were kids running in the halls, slamming doors, and yelling to each other. Complete inconsideration and ignorance towards everyone else in the hotel, and I fully blame their parents, who were nowhere to be found (likely in the casino). Just past 11:30 we had a woman pounding on our door. I had to get up to tell her she had the wrong room. The housekeeping supervisor was consistently miserable and cold. Each time we walked past her we got a stare-down and not so much as a smile, let alone a good evening or good morning. They also changed the restaurant. The buffet choices were extremely limited, and grossly overpriced. We didn't even stay for the breakfast buffet. No microwave in the room. No extra pillow. Ironing board but no iron. We've never been so happy to leave a hotel, and I can assure you we will never go back. It used to be a fun weekend for us to stay there, but the changes they made will doom this once fine hotel by chasing away what were once loyal customers.

It was a decent time. The buffet was good, fresh food. They were constantly bringing food out. The rooms were clean. Hotel was clean. Asked for a couple of things for the room. Was brought up pretty quickly. Asked for one more thing and it was fine. The guy was busy so he didn't seem too happy about it. So I gave him a tip and that didn't do anything. He still seemed off. Other than that, will be back again

Our favourite Manitoba get-away! Friendly staff, clean rooms at a great price! Their food is great and of course the casino is fun! We look forward to returning everytime!

Always had a good experience coming here. Only once there was an issue and the manager tried to make us feel bad about their mistake. That is my only complaint.Also, if you decided to go for a walk around the building in the grass areas, beware of all the ticks!

I booked 2 months ahead of time and they got the wrong date. They admitted they were at fault for charging 1 month before my booking and overcharging me a no show fee plus the room. I didn’t get a refund or an apology. Instead I got an extremely rude check in. “YOU UNDERSTAND!?”, Staff. I had a terrible experience there. Would not recommend.
