They have great cheese cake and other goods that you won't find elsewhere. The only thing is the cashier's are a little rude, they won't speak English like it's a disease but they talk amongst themselves in another language as you're going through the cash to pay for your goods. They don't smile or even say thank you. This place has to have the rudest cashier's in Côté Saint Luc, which is a majority Anglo town. They have a bakery area in the back which has a lady that is really nice and serves you with a smile and a thank you which makes you feel good when shopping and supporting a local store.

Excellent store with a different products selection- Eastern European delicacies. Have been a client since their opening. Thank you.

Pros:Clean, well organized, well staffedLarge and interesting variety of foods from central and Eastern Europe that's hard to find elsewhere.Cons:Easily the only store I've been to on the Island where staff is reliably and consistently mean - it seems to be institutionalized in the store's work culture. I can't think of any other place where I feel like the staff is disgusted by my mere presence.

Love the eastern European products, zacuscă, halva, samsa, 18% sour cream, salamis and cold cuts such as Hungarian/Sibiu salami, emmental and smoked cheeses, Brandt liver pâté, mititei. Raureni brand everything, sauerkraut juice, borș, and so many spices and seasonings, Austrian bread, frozen pieriogies, apricot juice. Not to mention eastern European detergents, soaps, creams, and products.Only 4/5 because the service could really be improved.Problems : 90% chance some meats such as cabanos being rotten regardless if bought from the shelves or behind the counter. The cashiers don't respond when yo say hi, and some don't even look you in the eye. I feel I have to learn Russian to get some service here.

A week ago I bought an ice-cream for my daughter and was charged more than double the sticker price. I pointed the cashier to the price label, she confirmed the price was incorrect and offered to return my money. No apology at all! When I reminded her that in Quebec there is a law for charging incorrect price, she simply dismissed me - 'This law is not valid in our store!'. Of course that was not true - nobody was above the law, but I decided to take my money back and let it go instead of arguing with a rude and unprofessional cashier...

As usual you need to be vigilant there. Strudel and vegetables with mold inside are easily staying at the shelf together with salads that the package blows its cap within 30 minutes and dry bagels in package smelling and taste like mold even with its best before date is still good. 2 stars instead of 1 as at least they accept all the junk back and return the money (so far) but tired to return something every time after shopping there. Management should think twice about that strategy and make price discounts on stuck things before they get mold and before customers will stop shopping there. Why to keep high prices till the very end then throw away food? BTW friends warned me about small dry bagels but I didn't believe until my turn arrived and it arrived on the 3rd time I bought them. Suspiciously fast I would say.google asked of UPDATE half an year after: nothing has changed - salami 2 months expired still on the shelf, other 4 days too and counting (see 3rd picture)... Bought 500gr cheese and was told they don't slice it (they always did) but that day she was not in the mood I guess so telling stories as excuses.

Hidden gem tucked at the end of Cote St Luc Road. You can do a good basic grocery run here. You can also get some very tasty premade meals - cabbage rolls, stuff peppers, potato casserole, seasoned chicken, and other Eastern European mainstays, as well as an array of excellent cakes and pastries, charcuterie, etc. A fun foodie outing. Their pick and mix candy aisle is fun, nothing here you'd find at the dollar store!
