Best Choice Auto Sales & Service

My family and I were on our way home from Riding Mountain National Park, when our VW Tiguan’s EPC light came on. Our vehicle went into limp mode, meaning we could barely accelerate, and couldn’t exceed 80kmh. The vehicle was shaking, was obviously unfit to drive, and my family and I were still two plus hours away from Winnipeg. We made it into Neepawa, but unfortunately it was Saturday, and essentially every repair shop was closed. I pulled into Best Choice, desperate for help. I was greeted by two kind women, whom I explained my situation to. One woman, who wasn’t even supposed to be working, made a quick call to see if there was anything they could do. I was given directions to their off site repair shop, where I was again greeted with kindness. They allowed my whole family, which consists of my wife, six year only son, and two year old daughter, to come inside on a cold, frigid day, and colour in their office. They even offered us use of their private washroom, and electrical outlets to charge our phones if necessary. The mechanic (whose name I’ve embarrassingly forgotten), dropped what he was doing, came outside in the cold, assessed the situation, and was able to reset the error code, and send us on our way within half an hour. He even allowed me to take photos of his reader, so I’d be able to show a mechanic the error codes if the problem persisted when we arrived back to Winnipeg. When I offered compensation for his time, he firmly refused, and said “we take care of people around here.” In a world where kindness and empathy can sometimes seem on the decline, interactions like this remind me of what community is supposed to be about. My family and I wish you many, many thanks.

DONT ever get a vehicle from here!! This company are big rip offs. All i had was problems with my vehicle and a couple people i knew were having the same problem. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!!! To top it off i dont think the mechanics are certified there either.
