Mariaggi's Theme Suite Hotel and Spa

staff were amazing very calm, helpful and welcoming. the meal we got was quite impressive too. very clean room the floors had just been washed which was nice to see. stayed in the china suite and I had the best sleep I’ve ever had in that bed. i chatted with one of the staff about their fish tank in the lobby as i was pretty impressed with the aquarium setup, she was so sweet and even said if i had any tips to let them know which was extremely nice to hear. would definitely recommend this place and will be back

Room was beautiful with outside balcony, super cool sauna and jacuzzi and such! Spent all night running around the room, good sound system for stereo. Had the best stay for a night, not bad prices too!

Review written by my kiddo. We invested in a night away together with Christmas money and we were not dissapointed in any way.My mom and I spent last night there(Thursday) in the Rome themed room and it was AMAZING! It felt like actually being in Rome

The charm, the vibe of exchange district is great. A little overwhelming/ jarring when management/owners let themselves in the room without notice. But overall the staff is amazing!!Only being allowed 1 key fob per room presented some problems with 6 of us staying there. Management and staff were extremely accommodating and helpful. Decor is a bit dated. True to era I guess but could do with updates as same paint as 40 years ago. We stayed in the penthouse. Nice set up but meant to party in NOT sleep per se. 1 king bed with a pull out bed that desperately needs a new mattress. No cots or options for additional registered guests- for the price you pay for head there should be air beds or cots!I was expecting at least complimentary shampoo/ conditioner/ soap- but nope- there was reusable refillable bottles that were empty.. watered down /used body wash that I wasn’t comfortable using incase it had been tampered with. 3 of the “clean” towels that were given to us were sour.Overall the set up is pretty genius. It is a great staycation destination. Depending on what you’re looking for. Room is Perfect large for parties.

My boyfriend and I went for his birthday. We booked the Hawaii room on the main floor. It’s a smaller, more affordable room in comparison to the other rooms. There are so many personal touches in the room that we appreciated. Fuzzy housecoats, candles, coffee and creamer in the fridge, shampoo and conditioner, and lotion. The decor had us in awe. It’s a beautiful room, but kinda small and no climate control. It was quite warm in the room, especially when we got the jacuzzi going. There was also some issues with the temperature of the water from the jacuzzi and shower. The hottest temperature was lukewarm. We went to the front desk for some help and the staff remedied our issues. They figured out the water temperature issue, and they showed us the switches for the fans in the room. They also brought us a stand up fan. After that, we were very comfy and enjoyed our time.Around 11pm, we noticed the guests above us were quite loud. Lots of loud thuds, what sounded like stomping. It was close to midnight when we went to the front desk to talk to someone. We then learned there was a party for someone turning 18, which we completely understood. What I really appreciated was how willing and eager they were to keep all of their guests happy. They gave us a massive upgrade to the Cuba room, free of charge. That way we weren’t directly under the other guests and they could continue having their fun.The Cuba room was gorgeous! Heated flooring, pool table, climate control, patio and very spacious. We were very comfortable and had a great sleep. There were some sirens at night, but it was a saturday night in the exchange. We weren’t surprised by that.They also gave us a 1pm check out, free of charge. We left the next day very happy with our stay. The staff really took care of us. Any issue we had, they went above and beyond. My recommendation for anyone looking to stay at Mariaggis is to book the bigger rooms. They’re much more comfortable and have more pizzazz. We’re already thinking about our next visit! Thanks for everything!

The Mariaggi is the perfect place for a romantic staycation in Winnipeg. Each room is well thought out, beautifully designed. We felt like we were transported to a different world, lettings us forget about the cold Winnipeg Winter. The attention to detail and effort that they put into each room makes it a truly unique experience.The staff made sure that we had everything we needed to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. They really made the experience memorable, we were well taken care of before we stepped foot in the hotel.We stayed in the China and Jakarta room during our stay. We enjoyed all the amenities the Mariaggi had to offer. From the jacuzzi, to the hot sauna, the steam showers and the balcony overlooking the historic exchange district of Winnipeg. Each room is well curated and perfect for a romantic staycation, you won’t want to leave the room!Thank you for such an amazing experience Lowell and team! We can’t wait to come back

Amazing place! Perfect for a staycation, birthday party or girls night out.We went on the weekend for a girls night and stayed in Cuba. The room was HUGE and spotless.I've stayed in hotels all over the world and this was the cleanest, most unique and well stocked room I've ever stayed in.It was gorgeous! IN our room we had a pool table, sauna, huge jet tub, steam shower with speakers and stocked with numerous oils, TV, fireplace, patio.There was bubble bath by the tub. The staff has the place immaculate and has considered every single detail in catering to the clientsSecure underground parking is included in your stay.We were greeted warmly by the manager and given a tour of our room and all the features.She arranged and ordered our catered meal on our shared balcony/patio (that has another sauna!) It was a delicious 3 course meal Italian feast and was delicious!I didn't want the night to end.This is absolutley a hidden gem in the exchange district.I took my husband back today to show him the hotel and once again Amanda (the manager) took great care of us and gave us a tour. While there we got to meet the owner who is very friendly and welcoming.This place has it all! In suite massages available. Catered scrumptious food, saunas, pool tables, huge jet tubs.The penthouse Jakarta has arcade machines!Las Vegas is apartment style and perfect for entertaining.This hotel seriously has it all. When we were there, a kiddo was having her birthday there as well and the staff always made sure to make a big effort for her and making the birthday girl feel special whenever they saw her.We are already planning another girls night out!I've never experienced or seen customer service like this. You're going to leave feeling like their old friend.The room was perfect! I was having too much fun to take many pictures, there was too much to do.

This place was everything we could have hoped for and more! It felt like we were in Cuba as soon as we stepped into our room. The service was good, the rooms were very clean, and it's located in a fun area with lots to do...in case you decide to leave the room that is. All in all it was a great experience and we will be definitely trying out another room or two. Thanks again Mariaggis for the mini vacation!

I volunteered with Heritage Winnipeg to give a tour of Mariaggi's. It was an amazing experience. The suites are themed and each one offers a unique experience. I learnt a lot, even though I was the one giving the tour. It's a place to be experienced, and not just read about. Book your stay now!

A super charming place filled with character and history. Went here for my birthday and had the Moroccan room which was super beautiful! The staff were really kind and explained how to use the jacuzzi and jets (also free shower oils), and were helpful if we needed anything. Overall it was a neat first experience for a themed hotel, and can’t wait to book again!
