We used Matt and Handspikers Drywall for our repairs and taping during our kitchen renovation. Matt was great to deal with, punctual and did a great job! Very professional, we look forward to having him back to finish our basement, thanks HDT!

Matt just completed the job in my basement today and I’m very happy with the results. The communication could not have been better from start to finish. Matt and his team worked hard and fast to replace damaged drywall and insulation from the ceilings of three rooms and a wall of one room as a result of damage done to my roof from hurricane Fiona . TL;DR: Overall these guys did an excellent job. Would highly recommend Matt’s work to anyone and would happily contact him for work in the future.I hired Matt and his team to finish my attic and replace the ceiling in my bathroom, as well as repairing some small holes. From the start, communication was always reliable, (even just letting me know if they were running a tiny bit late); and they happily answered any questions I had about the quote or their plans. I was also glad to hear them planning to work safely, since I was nervous about them working around the open attic hatch.When it came to the actual project, Matt’s team did a great job managing the weird angles and not-quite-square floors and corners in my attic and they were very efficient, cutting drywall to size downstairs and managing to maneuver it up through the attic hatch despite it being just barely big enough for the drywall to fit. I happened to be home for the drywall hanging and they checked in occasionally to make sure their progress was what I expected. For the taping and mudding I wasn’t around but I got daily updates from Matt and instructions for making sure it would dry efficiently. The final product looks great and was sanded so smooth it was ready to paint.The whole thing took two days for the hanging and another four days for taping, mudding, etc. I had an unused spare room where the drywall and other materials were delivered and stored and the guys left their stuff tidied away in there and cleaned up any debris and swept at the end of each day, then carried out all the garbage at the end of the job so I didn’t have to deal with disposal, which was great.
