Avis Car Rental

We started renting from this downtown Saskatoon location probably 2 months ago. We met the office manager, Hamza. He is awesome. He’s so friendly and easy to deal with. Also a shout out to some of the other staff there, Conner, Jafar, Hassan and Rahama. Everyone is excellent! We have become regular customers.

Customer service at the downtown location is amazing. Hamza is terrific to deal with. Sometimes we’ve been in the office with an upset customer, and he deals with them so calmly. He does not escalate the situation. If I had a business and was hiring, I’d recruit Hamza. We just can’t say enough good about this guy. -Bill

Made a reservation for my son then found out he can't pick up the car without his own credit card. Canceled the reservation less than an hour later. A $90 and change prepayment. The kept $50 as a cancelation fee! What could it have cost them? Avis will never see my business again and I rent quite a bit. Enterprise it is!

Worst customer service I have ever seen.At first it was great. I even was going to give it 5 stars but now that I have to drop it off, the rep refuses to let me drop it off in Winnipeg like we had agreed originally. I called 3 times and he didnt answer and then when he answered, all he said was “drive it back to saskatoon I will not change your dropoff location”AVOID AT ALL COSTS

I have been renting with Avis for 6 years quite regularly but it had always been at another location. While I have always had great people helping me at all locations, I have to say I'm so impressed with Hamza at the 1st Ave location. He definitely went above and beyond. If everyone in a customer service role was like this guy, the world would be a totally different place! I had some damage to my rental a few hours into my trip and gave him a quick call to infom him, not only did he remember exactly who I was despite it being a busy day, but he also did such a great job at reassuring me that everything was fine and I should not worry and enjoy the rest of my trip! This is huge for me, because my natural tendency is to get a bit worked up over the damage but just the conversation with him calmed me down to the point where I just really didn't worry at all, and very much enjoyed my trip. This isn't common, I've been in customer service myself for over a decade, and I am very aware and conscious of the people helping me - there aren't many out there like him. I'd give him 100 stars if I could. Thank you Hamza!

Really Disappointed. Tried to calling the location for 3 consecutive days. Nobody answered the phone. So drove to location to check and there was guy on the desk. I asked him for couple of queries. He replied I can't operate the system because i am not working here, i work at different location. I am only here because nobody from this location is available to work. He told memanager would be here in half an hour so i need to wait for him to get my answers. But i didn't have time so i left my contact number so somebody can call me back. Guess what!!! Nobody called me back.So why this location is open if there is no enough staff to work or answer the phone calls.Tried this place for 1st time. Probably won't try next time.Not Recommended

Hamza and the team helped me out and got me a car with a great rate, and I was a walk-in. Thanks guys!

I have been renting cars since last 3 years now. I started renting from this particular location from early 2015, and I rent every weekend. There is no rental place better than this location. Manager Frankie, Tyla, Tamie (she doesn't work anymore) and not to forget the boys Larry, Tarry undoubtedly provide the best customer service in market. The entire crew is really helpful, welcoming, cooperative.Highly recommend this location if you are booking through Avis or Budget.

Rented from this agency just recently for a business trip. Staff were very friendly and courteous; service was prompt and the car was clean. Special acknowledegement to Hamza Ahmad for going over and above in the experience. In addition to being exceptional to interact with, he also offered an upgrade without coupon or me having requesting it. I rent often and will definetley be returning to this location.

Hamza and Yousef were super amazing. The pricing was fair and they helped us out beyond what they were supposed to do/the standards of the industry required them to do so.I would definitely use their location again and refer friends and family. Under rated brand for rentals, with great people working here.
