Great brunch! Very reasonable pricing. Great service. Interior was beautiful and the patio looks lovely as well! Had the Turkish style eggs which were delicious. Look forward to coming back for dinner

Decided to check out Darling on a Friday night after seeing many friends visiting and posting on Instagram. Very instagrammable vibe and beautiful little patio. Perfect for a little date or wine night with the girls. Tristan was our server, he was amazing… the best service I have received in a very long time and his passion for the industry was beaming throughout the whole evening! He was able to pair wine with my upcoming dish perfectly. The food is seriously beautiful and so so tasty. Best dining experience I’ve had in Edmonton in a long time. Absolutely go check them out and ask to sit in Tristan’s section if you want A1 service!

Great late night spot. The courtyard patio is such a good vibe and well worth the wait. All of the wines I’ve tried so far have been out of this world delicious, very crushable.Their food menu is all snacks, and the endive salad and the olives are both 10/10 and I’ll be ordering them again.I think you’ll really love this spot.

The ambiance was enchanting, and our server provided excellent service throughout our visit. However, we were disappointed by the excessive wait time of over an hour for our first course. Furthermore, considering it is a wine bar, we found the menu to be lacking in variety and options.We decided to try the oysters, carpaccio, burrata salad, and the cavatelli pasta. Regrettably, the cavatelli pasta was undercooked, far from the desired al dente texture. Moreover, the overall taste of the dishes was bland, as they lacked proper seasoning. Additionally, the portions were disappointingly small, leaving everyone feeling unsatisfied and still hungry.It is unfortunate that despite the beautiful ambiance and the attentiveness of the server, our dining experience was marred by these shortcomings in the food quality and portion sizes. Moreover, we found the prices to be exorbitant in relation to the quality and portion sizes of the dishes. The lackluster food combined with the high prices further intensified our disappointment with the overall dining experience.

Excellent attention to detail. Loved the decor, table settings, bathrooms. The food was excellent. Many good flavours well combined and layered. We had brunch - French toast and smoked char. Excellent sized portions. Good value. Those two plates aren’t really shareable, although we did share, and do share often, I think it’s odd to recommend sharing for a plate that would have been better served to an individual.As a non-drinker, I especially appreciated the zero drink menu with several excellent options. The sangria was delicious!I loved the obvious local sourcing of so much of the menu.

A neighbourhood gem with a fab patio! Darling is a cute new restaurant/wine bar, which serves a great brunch - their French toast is next level.It is worth noting that the wine list is eclectic, focusing on pet nats and lesser known varietals / regions - so don’t expect to order a “typical” wine.

The atmosphere is beautiful, if quite predictable, with the patio standing out with its elegant-casual neighbourhood feel. Love that.The plus points were good coffee and tea. The disappointing part was the food -- portions were not convincing. The dish was dry and artless in presentation as well as flavour. The place overall gives you the impression you are about to enjoy some astounding flavours, but they never arrived. A stale cabbage salad, over-cooked eggs, and underwhelming toast with bacon (The Darling Platter). The bread was the highlight for me, I will say.I think restaurants must remember that substance always trumps style. You can't just create the look and cut corners on the food. Go all the way -- make it brilliant. I would give Darling another try, but if the mediocre kitchen continues, would look for a place that goes the extra mile.

Local ingredients accompanied by an innovative menu made for a pleasant lunch visit. The menu descriptions do not do the dishes justice with the collaborative complexity of flavors. The serving staff were able to elaborate on the ingredients and palatability of each dish, which was appreciated. The wine list (featuring natural wines) provided many different options. A visit to our table from the head chef who personally designed the menu was a highlight.We experienced a very professional, comfortable vibe with attentive and knowledgeable service. We will be back and have already suggested many friends to check out this new, local gem.

Great space and ambiance and excellent service. Tristan was a phenomenal server and made our night memorable and gave excellent recommendations. Given other reviews, we were also pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. It's a wine bar first but the food was a perfect compliment for excellent wine.
