SL Custom Carpentry

Serge had started the work on our Kitchen. First issue was that he was never on time, which extended the project quite a bit. Second issue, he was very racist and kept saying things about Pakistani and Indian people when he was actually working on our Kitchen, and at that point he was half way through so I did not have an option but to continue with him. Last but not the least, He kept asking for money every time he came, making excuses that he is running short and needs money for Gas etc. and we kept giving in. So he comes in one day pretending to work, but collected all his stuff and took off, yes he just disappeared WITHOUT completing the project. We had to hire another contractor for finishing the job. We would never recommend him to anyone, he is unprofessional, unreliable, and liar. Worst part is, he is apparently the owner of this business.

I have know Serge for a few years now. As an arborist, I often have unique pieces of wood left over after a removal. Serge contacted me looking for large stumps and other pieces that he could transform into beautiful tables and chairs. Not only is he a master of is craft, he's an honest and respectable guy.

Just finished dealing with this person Serge Laflamme of SL Custom Carpentry. He did do a decent job BUT was not dependable and very UNprofessional (A quoted 1 week job took 2 weeks, erratic working hours, disrespectful behaviours and charged us over the quote he provided). We paid him as we wanted to just end our association with him. I did tell him that we will contact BBB on him and he flipped. We had to call the cops to get him off our property But to people looking for carpentry or tiling or general renovation services be forewarned, this guy is a scammer and BAD NEWS!

Excellent job Serge...I had hired a previous contractor to do a small renovation on my bathroom, I was told one week to finish, three months later the job was still not finished. I finally found SL Custom Carpentry, called Serge up and received a quote for the fix that needed to be done.I was pleasantly surprised to find he didn’t try to gouge me even knowing I had no choice but to hire someone to fix this poor job left by another contractor.Serge came in, worked all day and finished the job as promised. Very professional, polite and respectful.I’ll be hiring Serge again in the near future to do some more work.Thanks to Serge my bathroom is functional and looking great.
