Not in the area often but used to support this bakery whenever I could . I love the croissants. Today I was disappointed after being refused entry for not wearing a mask. Mask mandates ended well over a year ago. It’s illogical to enforce such measures . Staff can wear their mask but don’t force customers. Why comply to a weird face covering rule knowing well that it’s senseless? This is the only establishment with a requirement so I’m happy to shop down the street , free to smile and converse with the bakery staff.

***will never go again (McDonald’s has friendlier service). Went in for the first time off the recommendation of a co worker (it’s April 2023 I was not aware of their mask rule), the green haired lady working was extremely rude/borderline aggressive in telling me to put on a mask. I honestly have no issues wearing a mask, it’s the tone in which I was told to do so. I bought a single overpriced pastry that ended up being stale, even after the whole mask interaction this worker continued to be at best unpleasant. I then paid for this stale pastry at a cash being ran by another man who was ironically not wearing a mask….

Feeling as though I should’ve read reviews prior to going, as I’m worried my sourdough will be a let down.Worst part about the business is that you HAVE to wear a mask. Haven’t bought a mask in over a year and a half now, so if you want people to wear one than you provide them with one. That cost is to be on the business.Secondly, I agree with others saying it’s overpriced. When Nats bread is at the Parkdale market, I suggest going there.Thirdly, it’s ironic that they have a sign saying “less waste” but then they are creating insane waste with the masks… make that make sense please?This business won’t last much longer between the prices and the face towels.

Very very nice. I would agree this is the best bakery shop in Ottawa.I loved the double chocolate cookie the most, but let’s be honest, I loved all of them.The pastries are reasonably priced as well!Definitely would go back.

I was not allowed to enter the business without a mask (May 2023). They offered to take my order outside, but then did not have any of the multiple types of bread I wanted to purchase; it was all sold out or not ready.I've only been lucky enough to have their bread a few times and it's been excellent. But recently, it's been way too hard to get the loaves you want. Unfortunately, it seems to be more take what you can get.

Authentic old style bakery goods. Fantastic customer care, fair trade everything. Local artist decour is sublime. Amazing tea selection. Wonderful coffee selections. Puts all those coffee houses to shame. Excellent location, parking out front, reasonable prices. Smells incredible too!!! #localguide

Oh my goodness... The pastries were DELICIOUS! (*chef kiss*). They were fresh and flakey and buttery!That blueberry danish was huge! And those blueberries were so fresh even though it was not blueberry season!The banana muffin was dense and MOIST (most important quality in a muffin). Not too sweet, so the banana flavour was very present.I highly recommend taking the jam bun! It's like a pastry roll filled with a fruity jam YUMMY.The cheese and almond/maple croissants didn't taste much in their flavours but they do respect their categories of sweet and savoury in comparison to the original butter croissant.

Out of the half dozen things we tried the only one we truly enjoyed was the cinnamon snail, it would be worth going back for and getting again. The latte was good too, I found the double shot latte strong if that's your thing. I would bring visitors here, especially if they like a really strong lattee or cappuccino but I do prefer other cafes in the city.Don't get the almond croissants, they didn't have almond filling.

Since the moment I walked in into this place I fell in love . The smell of fresh bread, the coziness literally everything. I ordered their pan de muertos during the October month and I’m in love. So fresh , so unique a good . I’m happy to discover this place , staff was so kind .
