River Safari

We saw six bears around the property, including a mom and two cubs crossing the street. What a surprise!The entire staff was outstanding. A once in a lifetime experience.In addition to the river safari, I’ll give 5-stars for the smoked salmon salad at the floating restaurant. Best salmon I’ve had in my entire life

We went to River Safari to celebrate our 11th wedding anniversary, and it was so cool! The floating restaurant offers delicious meals, all the gear is provided, including warm jackets, blankets, rain coats, and binoculars. Magical places, beautiful scenery, knowledgeable and very respectful guides!Even though you go with a group of people, you feel a true connection with nature and animals.Highly recommend to everyone, you won’t be disappointed!

On our trip heading south we spotted the road signs and decided to see if it is suitable for 2 kids (4 and 2 years old). The place looks amazing and is well decorated!We just went inside and asked for a boat trip, the next trip was scheduled 50 minutes later and we decided to book it.The entire trip was on a jet boat (didn't know about any eco boats until looking at the website) but that was fine for us with the children it was way more fun!Everybody was nice and friendly.They offered us jackets against cold winds as we were likely underdressed.We were lucky to see 5 black bears!On the lake shore after only 10 minutes a mother with 2 cubs was spotted and after the waterfalls on the river 1 bear rushing into the bushes after we went around a turn in the river. And one bear on our way back just two- to three-hundred meters from the floating café.Since a ride in a ski lift in Banff will cost you at least 70 dollar pp, this trip is well worth the money in my opinion!But it is wildlife, you have to be lucky...

Our family had an amazing time on the River Safari adventure in Blue River, BC! It was way more than the promised One amazing hour" – we enjoyed an incredible 2 hours and 45 minutes of pure joy and excitement.The staff was beyond friendly and welcoming from start to finish. The guides on the boats were kind and knowledgeable

The most wonderful venue, incredibly friendly and very knowledgeable staff. We had an epic river safari with Fynn and Jack. Everyone - especially Russ - was amazing at making us feel extremely welcomed, Russ also had loads of recommendations for where to go on the next leg of our Canada tour. Highly highly recommend taking the time to visit and enjoy this beautiful facility. The food in the floating restaurant is also super tasty. If I could rate it more than a 5* I would.

So worth it!!!!We booked this spontaneously after seeing the signage on the roads, it did not disappoint! We did the 2hr trip and was absolutely fab! We took the small boat over to the jet boats, used the binoculars which were supplied on the boat, our tour guide was brilliant and very knowledgable. We were given rain coats and blankets, but we didn't require these at it was super hot! The boat ride was fab, we stopped off and could get out paddle or swim if you wanted. We saw moose, bears and then when we got food in the restaurant and had the salmon burger which was DELICIOUS. We saw hummingbirds but overall amazing experience and would highly recommend!!

This is an absolute must! We did the River Safari, which consists of a slow casual cruise up the lake to take in the views and wildlife. You then dock and take a short walk to a magnificent waterfall. Following this, you jump on the fast boats as your guide takes you through the upper part of the lake with some speed! We had Nathan and Tim as our guides, who were super friendly, but all the staff there were fantastic and engaging. We didn't get to see an bears on the day, nature is not on call, but it didn't reduce our enjoyment of the cruise. Definitely check it out. They also have a restaurant there to eat and enjoy the view.

Very expensive boat ride. We waited for more than 2 hours for a slot for our family. With the heat and noisy boat into the valley, I was wondering what are the odds of seeing wildlife?Apparently no one saw any wildlife from the earlier 2 timings too. While waiting, I also read their guests book and many commented that they didn't see any wildlife at all. Maybe the company should process a partial refund if there are no sightings. For families with children, you may want to consider Kamloops Wildlife instead. A way cheaper option and 100% certainty to see and observe bears.
