Canex

It's a Navy staff store. So it's interesting what they carry. Computers, beds, appliances, furniture, clothing, military stuff.

Possibly one of the saddest canex stores. Just basic stuff, and some appliances/furniture. 2 bonus stars since it's probably the only thing for alot of sailors with no car to get off base.

This store is the absolute best, now I know that most people say that the prices are to high, but if you compare them with majority of the other stores out there they are pretty on par price-wise. The staff are always very friendly and knowledgeable about everything in the store. Anytime I've needed help finding exactly what I need they are quick to give me all the information I need to make an educated decision. Granted this store is really geared more towards military members, veterans, and their families, but really anyone can benefit in one way or another from this store. So if you ever happen to be near one, feel free to pop in and check it out.

As of June 6th 2023 Canex (Victoria) is closed due to water damage. Wish they would have posted something online or on Google. Would have saved me a 1.5h trip down here for nothing.

Not an army surplus store. You won't be finding MRE's, gask masks, and other old surplus things here. However, they do have appliances, TV's, game consoles, PC's, and military branded clothing. Clearly this store is intended for members of the CAF, I just added this review so other people wouldn't accidentally go here thinking there is going to be surplus equipment. The store is well organized and clean.

I was surprised to to the lack of items compared to the 1980's-90's when there was a full store of clothing, housewares etc. I was thinking Covid probably has a part of the condition of the base and closures of Mess's. Hope it returns to the days and years of past!

Great unique store. Highly recommend it. Found many things for myself and my grandchildren.

Strange experience here, the staff member rushed to help me then couldn't answer any of my questions and just flat out made up an answer (womens and mens boot sizes are not interchangable, friend) hahaha...when the box says mens" it does not actually mean "unisex". He butt in front of the other little lady staff member to help me and looked like she knew what she was talking about but he insisted on helping...maybe he thought I was cute!"

Sizes too small for all items except one windbreaker that was far too expensive at $149. Canex does not and never has served me well and may as well be abolished. #RCN #Veteran #Pensioner
