From the moment you open the door you are met with the most wonderful fragrance and then unique decor, Monsieur Jean is an amazing boutique hotel worth the price. We initially had a discrepancy where our reservation did not show up, the reception staff dealt with it quickly and offered as a similarly beautiful room. The room was incredible, amazing view of the river & old Quebec, comfortable bed, soft sheets, double sinks and gorgeous rain shower. We also loved the flooring and cozy carpet unique in a hotel. We had a few issues with our key card throughout our stay and the reception staff always quickly fixed it with a smile. The coffee from the cafe was delicious & wow- the croissants! We highly recommend if you want a unique hotel experience with an amazing location in the heart of Old Quebec!

We chose this hotel based on Expedia's good references and were delighted with our choice. This hotel has a very modern French interior design and the room we had was a work of art! it is nicer and bigger than my husband and I expected. It's such a comfortable stay at this hotel, especially when we didn't want to go out on a cold rainy day. We had a huge bathtub in our room which was very convenient to soak in with powdered sea salt provided by the hotel. Breakfast boxes were left outside our room door each morning as the reserved continental breakfast cannot be served during the restaurant renovation. Bad timing this time, but we still enjoyed every moment in this hotel. This location is very convenient with countless delicious restaurants within walking distance. The young gentleman named Yuber who helped us checked-in was very professional and super nice. Such a magnificent hotel in an awesome location with great services, we loved it! We would heartily recommend it to everyone!

Perfect place to stay for Christmas! Right across from Hotel de Ville and around the corner from the Main Street restaurants and shops. A quick walk up the hill to Chateau Frontenac, toboggans and the Funicular. A great spot in the middle of Old Quebec to make your home base, especially during heavy snow. Staff was friendly and welcoming, also helpful to get taxis and any services or recommendations you may need during your stay. The vibe is quirky and fun with a welcoming fireplace and Christmas trees. Our room was exactly what we wanted. A kitchenette for when we didn’t want to find a restaurant and a killer bathtub. Bed was super comfortable. We included breakfast in our stay which was convenient but not the best (croissant, eggs with ham, orange juice, cheese and yogurt). Wish they had room service and we would be set.

Fantastic hotel, absolutely loved all the eclectic decorations, the hallways and staff was very friendly. Close to everything you want to be by. Can't wait to go back!

My wife and I stayed there last week for a week. This was our first trip to Quebec City and we loved it! The staff at Monsieur Jean are excellent! The decor is eclectic and unique. The location was great. 10 minute walk to pretty well all the main sites in Old Quebec City. The room was very clean, the bed very comfortable and the view was great. The gym is good but would be nice to have a bit more equipment, maybe a few more weights and a bench. A fan would be nice too. Highly recommended!

This is one of the best experiences i have ever had in my life when it comes to personalized service by a hotel team. 3 weeks prior to my trip i booked with mr jean, this trip was for valentines day and 6 months with my partner, i sent an email asking what they could offer for romantic setting in the room and within minutes i got a reply with endless options to make exactly how i wanted with all details pricing etc... Upon arrival the room was setup even better than i had imagined, check in was a breeze, everyone smiling and so inviting. The rooms are clean and amazing, hotel is in a fantastic location so close to all hotspots of the old city. I will never look to stay elsewhere when visiting quebec city. Thank you to the whole Monsieur Jean team for making this trip extra memorable.

My stay here was absolutely amazing! All the staff were so friendly and the hotel is so so stunning and modern. The rooms have a full kitchen and some (including my room) had a gorgeous outside terrace with a city view. It's also located in a very walkable area of Quebec City. If I return I'll be coming to stay here again!

Excellent. Beautiful spacious room. Very clean. Intriguing design in room, hallways and lobby. Breakfast brought to room each day was perfect. Very relaxing experience.

My husband and I spent 4 nights at Monsieur Jean. We were there to celebrate my 60th birthday.It was absolutely wonderful and we will definitely return.The location in Old Quebec City is ideal for walking to tourist attractions, restaurants and shops. The hotel is beautiful, decorated with cool art, very modern and extremely clean including the room. It was spotless and lovely.The rooms are gorgeous. The kitchenette was great and the bathroom was huge and beautiful. The bed was very comfortable as well.The staff were so helpful, pleasant and genuine.We would like to highlight Benoit at the front desk.He was exceptional. He always greeted us with a big smile, knew us by name and he helped us with anything that we needed. He made our stay feel extra special.What a gem of a hotel! We highly recommend it.
