This place is phenomenal! Great taste, surprisingly filling despite the portions, and very cute interior! Their tables have resin art on them, which is quite pretty, and their menu, despite the small selection, has a wide range of different foods. Though this place is a little pricy, but it's worth it for the price. I highly recommend the spicy chicken dish :)

What a beautiful restaurant and so much attention to detail. From the service to cutleries it was super cute and elegant. I got the aburi salmon don and my friend the pork jowl bowl. Both were not a disappointment. It was so tender and so much flavour. I was reluctant when it comes to Asian fusion but they did amazing with the food pairing. Not too salty and very tasty.

I went on grand opening day and the moment I step foot into the restaurant I thought “wow it’s so beautiful in here!”. All the food that came out was delicious, my favourite is definitely the salmon tartare, I don’t usually eat breakfast or eat a lot as my first meal so the 3 course was a little heavy for me and I got really full really fast. Overall, amazing and definitely excited to go back and try more!

It's always nice to try a new restaurant in Vancouver that is not a chain franchise. Chef Victor experiments with different flavours and he hits it out of the park. We started with the bing bread with salted egg butter. The bread was nice and moist and when you smother with that butter, it was heaven. I had the pork jowl and the egg was perfectly cooked. We ended with the hojicha hazelnut pastry. It was light and fluffy and the flavours was dead on. The chef was nice enough to come out and chat with us and how he wants to capture his childhood comfort food mixed with his Asian culinary experience. He will definitely keep changing his menu on a regular basis. The service was superb and and the ambiance is so nice. It was a perfect wife date. Definitely a hidden gem in Vancouver. Will come back for sure!

It was such a great experience to have brunch here. It was out of my expectation. Originally I wanted to have a regular brunch at a western restaurant but I didn’t want to wait in line, so I looked up on google and found this new restaurant. When my friend and I stepped into the restaurant, the interior design and decor created a great vibe and atmosphere for us. I personally liked the moss walls as decorations. I could see how much effort the business owners put an effort to create a great place for customers to enjoy the food and ambience. We ordered a cup of coffee and a couple of main dishes. The dishes were nasi lemak and aburi salmon belly don. Both of them tasted excellent. Nasi Lemak is a traditional dish in Singapore or Malaysia. The chef of course fine tuned it in a western way and presented it well if you looked at the photo here. The salmon was very soft and juicy with some dashi soup base. It was not dry at all. We loved the food and enjoyed it very much. After the meal, the server gave us a couple of sweets - homemade hazelnut chocolates and duck jelly. The duck jelly was very cute!! OMG. We didn’t wanna eat it.We would love to go back and try their dinner menu one day. The restaurant is on West 4th Ave. It was a bit hard to find street parking on the main street. We parked in a residential area and walked to the restaurant. Pricing is leaning towards the higher side but based on the food quality, ambience and customer service, it was worth the price.

New restaurant in Kits, couldn’t find any website or reviews so it seems like it was a soft opening. They have three options: a la carte, $49/pp for a 3-course or $56/pp for a 4-course brunch meal. But a la carte doesn’t seem that great of a deal.Review:Ambiance/Service - the staff, decor, and vibe was very pleasant.Food/drinks - this is where it kind of falls flat.Drinks - no liquor license at the moment, which is completely fine. However, charging $10 for a small glass of non-alcoholic drink consisting of apparently Tropicana (based off the bottle in the fridge) and grenadine is ridiculous. If you’re charging that price, it should at least be freshly squeezed or something unique. 0/51st course - bread with salted egg yolk. The bread was one of the highlights (unfortunately no photo). It was very spongy, baked fresh. Salted egg yolk butter was very creamy. Dish was basic but a solid 4/5.2nd course - Salmon tartare. Decent dish, nothing too special but nothing bad to say. 3.5/5.3rd/4th course - Porcini pork pot pie. This was super disappointing. Good portion size, but the flavour was very one-dimensional. For the price, I was expecting a lot more. 2/5.Nasi Lemak - Chicken was very crispy, sauce was nice, and the fried sticky rice was amazing. However, the dish as a whole didn’t mesh that well together and the veg seemed a bit out of place. 3/5.Dessert - Chocolate cake with fermented blueberries - if you’re a chocolate lover you would love this. The cake is very decadent, but it was so overpowering you couldn’t taste the blueberries at all. 3/5Overall, the food was okay but for that price I’d be expecting a lot more. Maybe it’ll get better once they’re officially opened (again assuming this is a soft opening), but just trying to set a realistic expectation for others that are trying this place. I’ll give it a 3/5 since its a new restaurant, but I most likely won’t be back.

A fantastic brunch place addition to Kits. New Asian fusion restaurant with exciting new dishes and flavours. A must visit.Salted egg duck butter with fresh house made bread. Salmon tartare with the most delicate and prawn dusted crisp rice crackers. Nasi Lemak - coconut rice hash with prawn chili chicken. anchovy peanut chicken. Porcini pork pot pie (filling includes Chinese sausage!) topped with flaky pastry. Chocolate nemesis cake.Food was delightful. Beautiful and relaxing ambiance. The tables are custom made by the chef himself (!!).
