Hook on Denman in English Bay is a nice pub/restaurant. Usually there is a line up especially weekends. Nice place to hang out.

On Saturday evening, after a refreshing walk along the sea wall, we decided to dine at Hook. Despite the bustling atmosphere, the hostess promptly seated us at a prime table on the patio, allowing us to savor the stunning sunset while indulging in delectable cuisine. Our choices for the evening were the oysters and calamari. While the calamari portion was a tad small, the oysters provided a varied selection, ranging from $3.95 to $4.95 per piece. For our drinks, I opted for a dirty martini with extra olives, while my girlfriend chose the Aperol Spritz. It's worth noting that the prices leaned towards the higher end, but unfortunately, my dirty martini did not live up to expectations. The olives used seemed to be of the NoFrills no name" brand

Great food and full of flavor.The atmosphere is cold but cozy, they accommodate you with blankets. I am sure it's due to it being winter. Great location on English Bay. Menu was a little pricey for the portions, otherwise worth it for the taste and experience.

The menu is mainly sea food, and we ended up ordering the beef burger. The food was nice and so was the beer. The view to English bay is beautiful.

I live 1 block away from Hook , so I pass by this place everyday, it has a good vibe , always full of people , smiling friendly staff, and a nice patioI ordered its famous Fish& Chips with halibut 30$(you can also order with Cod-26$)Chips great! Sauce great ,salad great , Fish a little greasy though.The order was served a little late , and there were not much of a choice for Vegetarians in main courses!We ordered yam fries as well, soft inside , crispy outside and well seasoned! Delicious!Great view of english bay is by your side !

I’ve been to Hook a couple times now and it’s always been great. On my last trip the server Bre was amazing with our group. We had a couple different people with a lot of different orders and she took great care of us. The burger is a classic and the Miraval Rose was amazing.

It is definitely a good location to sit for a causal meal and enjoy the view of the English Bay in sunny day (or sunset I believe). Their kids menu is value of money as it comes with pops and ice cream. Service is ok, and the staff is friendly (although I can tell they were quite tied up with lots of customers). The downside is that, it is extremely difficult (or expensive) to find a parking spot nearby.

Hook Restaurant
One of the best restaurant experiences we’ve had in Vancouver! We had an event there and everything was absolutely perfect. The chef there is incredible talented, the staff was so friendly and attentive, and the manager Axel made sure it all ran smoothly. We watched the sunset through through the windows while everything unfolded perfectly. Everyone kept raving about the service, food and atmosphere. I would give more stars if I could. Thanks again for one of the best nights!!!
