I have had some sad experiences with hardware stores as most of you have. You walk the isles, you can't find something, you catch an employees eye in that store and they remarkably vanish right before your eyes or ask you to wait for help from another employee and that person NEVER comes. Not the case at Herlehy Home Builders at all - ever. I emailed the store last week after receiving continued exemplary service from all of their staff and I wanted to share a portion of that as a review so others can know this store is worth a visit: You guys are not a retail store you are friends!" ..... "This blows me away thank you very much" ..... "All I can say is thank goodness for Home Hardware maintaining a human face in this cold world of big box American hardware stores. You certainly have my customer loyalty.""

Never trust their hours. They aren't open Sundays.

This is the cleanest, most organized hardware store I've ever been in! The staff is super friendly and helpful.

Some of the employees are a combination of rude, sarcastic and condescending. They don't go the the extra mile to help their customers unless they have a pocket full of cash and a credit card with an endless limit. Go to the downtown westport hardware if you can, much better service and a better atmosphere. The store is great and always accommodating.

Friendly and prompt service. Yard workers very helpful in loading product.

Excellent hardware store. Well stocked with random items you may need as well as fasteners. Staff is very friendly and always willing to help. The staff often finds ways to discount your items at checkout which is a pleasant surprise and something you don't get at big box stores.

In and out quickly because I got what I needed. Staff was helpful.
