Le St. Laurent
My brother recommended Le St Laurent to my husband and I. We just had an amazing New Year’s Eve dinner there. It was a set menu with 2 options for each course. Since this was our first visit we decided to order one of each option to get a full sample of the restaurant’s fare . We were very impressed with the service, presentation, quality and flavour of each dish. So much so we’ve already made a reservation for our next special occasion. This may just become one of our favourite places!

Le St. Laurent
Overall the food and service is very good. I had the duck and my friend had the beef short rib as entrees. We loved the view from the PH.They had “Pouding Chomeur” (my favorite French-Canadian dessert) on the menu, unfortunately it was disappointing - it wasn’t served with ice cream and it was rather bland.

Le St. Laurent
We were entirely impressed with Le St Laurent. The bartender mixed us up some delicious non-alcoholic cocktails based on a general description of what we would like. We both had salads that were delicious. I had the braised short rib, which was the most tender piece of meat I've ever eaten, and everything on the plate was just incredible. My partner had the pan seared pickerel and raved about it.And on top of all that, the view is amazing. You look over the Beechwood cemetery, Rockcliffe, etc, and you can see all the way to the peace tower.Highly recommended.

Le St. Laurent
Le St. Laurent is probably Ottawa’s best kept secret. Hidden up on a penthouse with a most amazing view…but the food is something else!!! So love that this is a family affair…Chef Ryan and his wife Shannon both are very approachable and their staff is extremely helpful and cheery! Why not, they work in a beautiful place, with beautiful coworkers and such an amazing kitchen! You cannot go wrong here! The cocktails are great, the food is amazing and the place, ambience, view, vibe, is memorable. Treat yourself….just do it!

Absolutely AMAZING venue. Chef is out of this world creative and talented. So accomodating and understanding of dietary restrictions. Still makes the meal look and taste sensationally scrumptious!!! Will definitely be back again. Thank you so much.

Le St. Laurent
After 2 years of not really celebrating our anniversary, we decided to try a very secluded restaurant located in the Penthouse of a beautiful apartment building on St-Laurent and Dunbarton (Brittany rd). Le St-Laurent is an elegant restaurant, with Owner and Chef Ryan making some of the most delicious food. He uses local and seasonal ingredients to create his menu, and this intimate setting has the most amazing view of the Ottawa Valley, the skyline at sunset was to die for and you can see the gatineau hills. Compliments to the chef for not only making such flavourful food, but also hand picking each staff member. Our server, Ann, was so sweet and attentive, and the bartender was very friendly and created very delicious cocktails. Now on to the food and drinks, we decided on a nice Pinot Grigio, later in our meal, we got a few caesars and Sean wanted to try one of their specialty cocktails that tasted like an icy apple cider. For the 2 entrées, we got the roasted mushroom soup which was so creamy and full of flavour, and the beet salad, with little slices of green grapes, nice chunks of orange and red beets, balsamic dressing, topped with grilled Halloumi cheese and roasted nuts, this was one of the best beet salads in Ottawa! For our Mains, we got the steak and frites, and the braised beef shortrib. The level of quality in these dishes was on point. The steak was cooked to our liking and the crispy thin fries were yummy. As for the shortrib, it was pulling apart so easily and melt in your mouth, and was accompanied by a delious sauce and cauliflower puree. Our overall experience was fantastic and would love to go again for another tasty beet salad. This is a must try! #supportlocal #ottawafoodiestalker

Le St. Laurent
Le St. Laurent is an absolute lovely dining experience. The restaurant itself is gorgeous and romantic, with a spectacular view of downtown. We were already entranced by the atmosphere, and then the food came. A happy surprise to have bread with the starters (yay) and the mains were delicious. I treated myself to steak & frites, while my fiancé had scallops and pork belly. We were both heavily impressed.I highly recommend Le St. Laurent! It will definitely be a date-night favourite!

Le St. Laurent
The restaurant has an elegant and sophisticated ambiance, and the service throughout our visit was fantastic. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and welcoming, which made us feel right at home. One thing that really stood out to me was their great selection of gins. I'm a gin enthusiast, and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the drinks they served. The view from the penthouse of this building is breathtaking, and it offers a unique perspective of downtown Ottawa. We were able to see the Parliament building from afar, but also had an up-close view of the National Military Cemetery. It was an amazing sight to behold. When it came to the food, we were not overwhelmed but not disappointed either. The dishes were tasty and had great portion sizes. However, the dessert of pouding chomeur was just fine - nothing special. It would have been next to tasteless if not for the ice cream. Those who remember pouding chomeur from their younger days might have been disappointed.Overall, Le St Laurent is a restaurant that I would recommend you give a try for anyone looking for a new dining experience in Ottawa. The combination of the view, great service, fantastic drinks, and delicious food make it a must-visit for anyone in the area. While the dessert was not the highlight of the meal, it did not take away from the overall experience. I would definitely try this restaurant again in the future.

Gorgeous view over East Ottawa from up high, excellent food, fast and friendly service, this is a great place to have an intimate family dinner. Parking is across the street and very easy. We enjoyed our family dinner there.
