Wonderful place! I have a lot of ancestry from this island. I highly recommend going here and visiting the rest of the island. I descend from Savard, Desgagnes, Desmeules and many other families. The miller at the time of my visit in 2012 was a Desgagnes, so a cousin of some sort. It was interesting to see a working mill and to walk where my ancestors lived. The ferry ride was awesome and the ferry was named after my ggggggrandfather several times over, Joseph Savard.

My experience with this store was terrible. The employee got my child's age wrong and the child's ticket was charged at the adult price. Later, I went to point out errors to them, but they refused to admit it. If they run out of money, I'll donate to them. But their attitude of making mistakes and refusing to correct them is so disappointing. I advise everyone not to go to this black shop, so as not to affect your good mood!

Les Moulins de l'Isle-Aux-Coudres
Wind mill no longer operates but water mill is still functional and runs only once or twice a day. The tour of the grounds is offered only in French. We didn't make it in time and saw the mill from outside.
