If you are looking for some wonderful flavours you have to try this place! We were a little worried when we walked in because it was EMPTY (Wednesday evening) but turns out they are relatively new. The food was delicious and full of flavour and the staff were really lovely, and wanted to make sure we enjoyed our food.This was a last minute choice and we were not disappointed!We shared the Malai Soy Chaap to start (I don’t eat meat but my husband does). Then we had Paneer butter Masala for me and the Delhi Wali Murg Makhani for my husband (chicken on the bone) with steamed rice, Chili garlic naan and butter roti. It was SO good!! Meat eaters and vegetarian alike will love this. It was just two of us but they have room for large groups as well. I would highly recommend, and will be back!

Great ambience, went for appetizers must try fish tikka.Short menu but drinks menu is vast. Amazing service and warm experience.Thanks for the birthday dessert ❤️

Have been here several times. Now a favorite place of mine. I have not been dissatisfied with any dish I've tried or any of their signature cocktails. Staff is very friendly and attentive. Very friendly people and great warm atmosphere. Looking forward to their patio opening

Visited for dinner with a couple of friends. The ambience and vibe of the place is very lit, in fact it is the only Indian place in Halifax I visited that stands neck to neck with other popular bars and restaurants. It is very strategically located at the heart of the Spring Garden road.I saw Kingfisher on the menu and just couldn’t try anything else. The very first sip took me back to my college days in India.We did have a couple of beers, one of my friend ordered a ginger based cocktail, it was decent though it depends on individual choice as it wasn’t a classic cocktail. We ordered some chicken tikka, chicken malai tikka and chicken 69. All the dishes were well cooked and tender, though I liked chicken 69 the most out of three.There aren’t a lot of food options to order, but I would surely go back to try their main course as well, even though a found the prices to be a little on the higher side, but that justifies for the premium experience no other Indian place offers right now.

Absolutely outstanding South Asian restaurant in Halifax. The decor was beautiful, the seating was comfortable, and the menu is modern and unique. There are not many restaurants of this type anywhere in Canada, and the offerings here are distinct and different from the standard Indian restaurant fare found throughout the country.There are excellent vegetarian and non-vegetarian choices, depending on your preferences, and the kitchen was very respectful of our wishes to have a mild meal (in terms of chilli spice level); this is important as my wife & I prefer to savour the rich and delicate spices of South Asia without overloading on chillis, and not every place is able to balance that request.We had Afghan tikka and tulsi tikka, both delicious and flavourful, as appetisers. For our mains we had dal makhani and Durbar kofte, with basmati rice and garlic naan. All of it was excellent & prepared in a way that stood out from typical fare. Dessert was shahi tukda, a delightful specialty from Mughal cuisine, also known as double ka meetha in Hyderabadi cuisine. It was SO GOOD. They got it perfect.This restaurant represents South Asia exceedingly well; the stairs up to the 2nd floor are lined with pics from India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, and Nepal. If we lived in Halifax, we would be regulars, and we will definitely be back on our next visit.Haligonians, PLEASE support this place! It is one of the gems of your city and it’s a fabulous place to dine. Besharam deserves high praise for standing out in the crowded world of desi cooking in Canada. It’s really an excellent restaurant and we found it outstanding in every regard.

Let me keep it short and simple...*go there for the awesome vibe.*go there for the amazing taste.*go there for the amazing staff.*go there for the quick service.*don't go there if you have a tight budget*don't go there if you're extremely hungry and want to eat alot.Points to note for the restaurant-*Guys your staffs are awesome, they deserve a raise.*Since the price of food items are on a higher side, you can very well plan on increasing the quantity.*the chicken pieces can be increased in the main course items*the mocktails variety can be increased*please include momos in your menu

The food is absolutely delicious and the cocktails are top-notch I'm thoroughly impressed with everything I've experienced here. The level of detail and commitment to quality is exceptional, and it's clear that someone has put in a tremendous amount of effort. I want to extend my heartfelt appreciation to the team responsible for transforming the Indian restaurant scene in Halifax. Your outstanding efforts have not gone unnoticed and you should be incredibly proud of what you've presented.It's worth noting that this place is ideal for those who value quality service and food, rather than prioritizing price above all else.

So I’ve been to Besharam at least 4 times since they’ve opened. They’re a fairly new restaurant who are trying their best to amp up the Indian restaurant scene here in Halifax. They’re probably the only ones with Live Hindi/Bollywood Song Performances. They are trying their utmost to improvise their service, ambiance and food on a daily basis.The servers have always been pleasant, attentive to details and friendly.Please note the attention to the details paid by the servers for our orders. Attached receipts.The ambiance is quite relaxed & delightful!The last time I was there I had Tawa Biryani which was very delicious and my friend ordered the Tulsi Chicken Tikka which was quite delicious too.The drinks were amazing!Support a business that is trying to revitalize Indian cuisine here in Halifax and help them improve with your genuine feedback please.

As long as the food taste goes, I would give a 4 star, 5 even for some dishes. But its nothing you haven’t tasted elsewhere. I feel that the restaurant is overhyped with no real vibe. It was a slow Saturday night when we went, lot many empty tables, but service was too slow. I mean they weren’t rude , but wasn’t worth commending too. Many other places in Hfx gives excellent Indian options in less price; to compare, I could get the same stuff I ordered from Mirchi tandoor for half the price. They don’t even have pitchers. Good thing is kingfisher beer they have , which reminds you of India. Location is also prime. Nothing awesome , just a normal Indian restaurant like any other place, but expensive. Price doesn’t guarantee value in this case. So much so that we just stopped at one beer and had to hit another one for drinks. Didn’t find the Karaoke too , may be its only on some days. Wouldn’t recommend this , quality is same as other Indian ones in Halifax.
