I was at this Rona today and I can't believe how poor the service was. I was talking to a sales person when his in store phone began to ring. He answered it and put his hand in front of my face as a sign for me not to talk. It's like his phone call was more important than me, the customer. The reality is that he wouldn't even have a phone or a job for that matter if it wasn't for me the customers. My advice is by pass Rona and go to Home Depot. At least they know how to treat you with respect.

Well to be honest the initial experience wasn't great as I bought 1400 sq ft of flooring by Mono Serra that turned out to be defective (not their fault) however it's the way they delt with the situation is why they deserve 5 stars. Dealt with Dan (flooring manager) and he was nothing less of accommodating. He has to get shipments from across Alberta so that I could finish my Reno in a timely manner. Talk about a company that stands behind their product. Thank you Dan and thank you Rona for making my floors perfect!

I had an amazing experience with this Rona staff during my renovation project at home. I did not know much about anything but Rona staff carefully helped me to understand what I needed and how to do it.An amazing example was the tile section - they showed me with a demo how to cut a tile, realized that there was no more of the equipment in inventory but gave me 10$ off to buy the demo unit. This shows that they DO want to help the customer and will do anything possible to make sure you take what you need to get the job done!This value-added service is priceless! Congratulations for such a great trained and customer-oriented staff!

We are renovating our bathroom. After searching around town we finally decided which floor tile we wanted. We drove to this Rona store and purchased $1000 worth of tile on a Friday morning. The clerk knew there was a sale starting Saturday morning and gave us the discounted price of $15% off. It made a large difference to our total, and really made our day. I will be back there for more supplies, for sure.

Absolutely terrible customer service. I went in on a Saturday to order some laminate for a countertop I was building. No one in the whole store could do an order for me, the one lady who could isn't there on weekends. So I went back in on Monday to do the order. The lady was at her desk visiting a friend, she told me to write my info and what I wanted on a paper and she would phone me and tell me when they could get it. I explained I just wanted to pay and order it, and my contractor would pick it up from their warehouse. She said no leave your info I'm with someone". I said it's ok

I so agree with many reviews here. Poor, poor customer service especially at the...customer service counter!!! There was no willingness shown. And sorry to say this but my negative experience has happened with the women most of the time. One day I stopped by to ask a question. By the look in her face I knew that she was waiting for me to finish my question just to say no" and that's exactly what she did then turned her back to go to the back room (I consider myself a polite and cheerful person especially when I approach someone for help). I got so discouraged I just left. To be fair I had positive experience with a few younger male staff and the ever-smiling

You can find pretty much everything you need, except help. There's is rarely anyone willing to help you find anything. Their installation department is the WORST! We needed an estimate for an installation and they said it would be ready in two weeks... After three weeks I went to ask if they had the estimate ready and they told me the guy" who do those estimates wasn't in. They were going to talk to him and get back to me the next day. One month later the guy came to my home to check what we needed and said they would be calling me soon. Two months went by and nothing... That was last year and still nothing

On 03.29.16 I walked into RONA with a project that I needed electrical help with. I went to Electrical and wandered for 10 minutes looking for an employee to help. After not finding anyone I walked until I found an employee to see if they can page someone to the department. The only person I ran into was Melissa in the paint department. She paged someone to electrical and said they would be there soon. I walked back to electrical to wait for assistance. After 10 more minutes I walked back to Melissa (Still the only employee I have seen in the store) and Said that no one had come. She then called customer service to confirm there was someone in electrical. Tracy was working the department. She paged Tracy twice to call her line and after there was no response she called the manager who said she personally would come to electrical to either help me or look to see where Tracy has disappeared too. I walked back to electrical to wait for said manager. After 10 more minutes of waiting EVEN THE MANAGER couldn't be bothered to come. I walked back to Melissa in paint and at this point was quite frustrated (I still have not seen anyone in the store except for Melissa) . I apologized to her stating Im sorry you have to be the one to deal with this but your manager has not come" to which she called customer service again and found out that the manager we just spoke to 10 minutes earlier HAS LEFT. Great. At that point Melissa was also frustrated. She took me down the aisle to try and help me unfortunately we were both in over our heads. She apologized but then spotted an employee Don. She said maybe Don can help. I ran across the store to Don who said that he was in seasonal and had no electrical knowledge. He did do his best to assist me and we got a little further than I was

Best to move on to another store. This Rona has been a very poor customer service experience for many so many times. Most of the check out people are so afraid to do something wrong they just say no when you ask for something out of the ordinary. Mostly depends who you get though. One just flat out lies to you. I have been given the run around here for asking to price beat items because they think it's too good of a deal and require manager approval to beat the price. It's ridiculous!!Good luck finding a staff member that can actually help you after supper time!! You couldn't find someone on the floor if you tried.Just save yourself the time and go to a different Rona. I hope Lowes sorts this store out and gets rid of the crap employees.
