Kenosee Inn & Cabins

We stayed in the cabins and for the price we paid, were unsatisfied. We had to inform the desk that our towels ( left in the tub) were not changed for two days, nor our garbage emptied. ( once informed they righted the situation). They describe the cabins as ‘rustic’ and I would change that to ‘run down. ‘ no air con, a sloppy fan light full of bugs, rusty old stove, unmatched bedding, peeling paint, dirty grout, minimal kitchen tools. The coffee maker had old grounds in it when we first made coffee. The bunk was rickity, the deck had gravel spilled on it.

Hallways were so dark and musty smelling. Room was damp and musty smelling too. The deck was slopping. Ans garbage was left on the deck. Spider webs all over the railing. The view is so nice. But none of us wanted to sit or be on the deck. The bathroom was not clean the taps were so dirty.Asked the lady at front desk for a few extra pillows as the pillows in the room were very thin. She said they don’t have any extra pillows in the entire hotel! Call me crazy but I find that hard to believe that a hotel doesn’t have extra pillows!

The view from your room amazing! However, no screen on the patio door so no way to leave it open to catch a breeze. The patio could use a spray of Spider Ban. Lots of spiders on the balcony. So no way you could leave the door open. At a quick glance the rooms are nice. Paint color and decor on walls is very nice. The rooms were fairly clean. For the price they charge a night the hotel could use some upgrades. The smoke detectors in the room appear to be original from when the building was built. They are yellowed and covered in something (fly BM?). Cob webs hanging from the ceiling. The tub was cracking around the drain hole.All in all we wouldn't stay again due to the price. Big city prices for a small town feel.

Wow, great little place. Rooms are very clean and well appointed. We went in May and it still isn't busy season there, so the bar is closed at 8pm... either way, the best waitress allowed us to stay until the end of the hockey game, which ended at 11pm. Amazing service and great staff.I can't wait to take the family there mid summer.

Beautiful location with nice, competent staff. Go to Kenosee play 2 excellent ( White Bear, Kenosee ) golf courses and back to the Inn or Cabins and relax. Excellent beach with cool clear water. Enjoy.

Beautiful view from the restaurant patio, great service and food/drinks!

I will never return to these cabins! The shower curtain was covered in black mold, despite being a fabric WASHABLE LINER. The sink drain was so corroded and covered in rust/hard water deposits you couldn’t even put a drain in. The bunk beds have no head board and are not against any wall so your pillows slide onto the ground all night. Even with 4 fans running 24/7 the cabin was unbearably hot especially for our infant. They clearly receive minimal maintenance to keep it running, as our cabin wasn’t the only one with issues out of all of our family staying there. During our stay a storm hit which knocked power out for almost 24hrs, although this is out of their control there was absolutely ZERO EFFORT by the managers/owners to make the stay more comfortable considering no one had power to cook, or keep themselves cool. Was hoping upon checkout there would at least be some compensation for this as we couldn’t use anything in our cabin for an entire day/night of our stay and there was nothing. Like I said, we will not be returning, the only reason it receives 1 star is because of the view of the lake, and beach which is absolutely lovely! BETTER OFF TENTING, cheaper, cooler and probably cleaner.

We stayed in a two bedroom cabin and found the accommodations fantastic. The location was excellent, being very near to the lake and near other cabins that we had rented out with other family members. The best thing about our stay was the attentiveness of the staff who came around every day to check if we needed anything, to leave towels, to pick up towels etc. Wreally enjoyed our stay there and really do recommend this place for your next vacation.

Location is beautiful, sat on the outdoor balcony with a view of the lake - beyond the spider webs that caught the local fish flies. The winter was not wiped away as of this fine June day.Ordered the egg breakfasts - way too many potatoes, where are the eggs? and the toast was dry and hard as Melba toast, with a quarter sized butter splotch on each. Wishing we had just gone back to the RV and enjoyed a healthy, tasty brunch.
