Lakewood Medical Centre

My family doctor is very nice other wise I would give a zero.The front desk staff is rude, the lab work lady is even worse.

Had a rare disease diagnosed by referral.They definitely need another fax machine behind desk 1-3 as my specialist could not get through and tried for a few days before he could get through. New receptionists do not seem to last as the more senior ones are miserable. I noticed they do not always seem to work together well. They likely need more support and team building or maybe a vacation but that does not excuse their rude behaviour when dealing with people who are sick and not feeling well. Lab, X-ray and EKG staff are friendly.

Dr. Sidarous' new receptionist Kim, is such a ray of sunshine. She is welcoming and personable. Very refreshing since the last receptionist she had was quite cold. Dr. Sidarous is a great doctor and her walk in is almost always open if you are a patient of hers.

Dr. Suzan Iskander has been incredibly unprofessional during all of my exams. I've been severely underweight, experiencing mental health problems and when I came for her to help she didn't take me seriously and ridiculed me for my issues. I came to this clinic with hopes of getting help, but clearly they only care about ridiculing and shaming their patients. I do not recommend this doctor for anyone seeking serious help.

Worst clinic ever for releasing medical information. Dr. Shenouda recently quit her practice to move out of province. I have found a new doctor elsewhere to take me on as a patient, but Lakewood has NOT released my medical information to the new clinic. I am in the process of making formal complaint against the clinic with the government & college of physicians.

This review is based on my experience in Dr. Mowad’s office. I literally waited more than 30 minutes in in his office with no sign of him!!! I found the receptionists at desk 3 fine but double check before making an appointment with this doctor. I do not recommend him. Thank you

worst experience i’ve ever had at a walk in clinic. Masks are required which i completely understand but you have to pay for them. The receptionist was VERY rude. She had an additude when asking can she help. and when i told her she said oh well i don’t know if the doctors gonna have time to address those issues. Sorry? Is that not the point of a walk in clinic? Going in so that the doctor can address the medical issues you are having? If i could put 0 stars i would. I don’t understand why the receptionists are so snarky. Do better Lakewood Medical!

Dr. Sakla’s treatment of my 81 year old mother was awful. She lacked empathy and respect and I was shocked to witness it. She had the audacity to say my mom made her feel bad when my mom was crying and saying he felt uncared for. I would never recommend her to anyone.Her receptionist was slightly better but not much.Very sad for other clients who don’t have anyone to go with them to see her.

I used to be a patient there and every time I brought up a concern, my doctor would just say “that’s normal”. My appointments with her were also like 5 minutes long as most, and during physicals she was in and out and didn’t ask me if I had any concerns. Now I have a new doctor at a new clinic and have 45 minute appointments where all my concerns are gone through within one appointment, and turns out all my concerns that I mentioned at Lakewood Medical actually AREN’T “normal” and I now have to go through a lengthy treatment to resolve the issues. Lakewood is also always so dirty, the washrooms are falling apart, and receptionists have no life or happiness in them. They’re unprofessional and rude.

I love my doctor but the front staff are terrible. I asked a question.. twice - and they all just stared at me. My question was if they had any accessible doors to the building, not a difficult question. I don’t feel very respected here by anybody but my actual doctor, dr Eskarous. She is AMAZING and the only reason I go here. Otherwise I would have left ages ago.
