Payworks Kelowna Office

Very poor payroll system. After 5 months of problems every month and hours on the phone with support, I called it a day and went elsewhere. The website is poorly designed and marginally functional (eg text overlays other text so you can't read it, menus don't work properly, help sections are poorly developed). The systems adopted makes little sense ( eg their strong preference to institute the payroll calculator before getting the hours logger functional - the integration of which was the main reason I chose them. In retrospect this was probably because their hours logger was full of glitches). It was expensive to implement and the process was cumbersome (they gave me a discount on their regular fee of $1000, down to $400 as I have only two employees - and then proceeded to incorrectly enter the information I provided which caused headaches payroll after payroll - I could have entered it on the web form myself, accurately). The last straw was when several months into it, my employees noticed they were not being paid for their stats (payworks had forgotten to turn the stat pay calculator on - like this is optional!) The reports they provided each month were so detailed they were incomprehensible, 6 of them, where one clear one would have done just fine. Their sales pitch was strong, but that was the end of their merit. I'm now with Simplepay.ca. So much simpler, vastly superior and more economical!

I use Payworks to do payroll for several of the companies that I do the accounting for. Each set up has been quick and easy. I have a Client Service Representative that I can call directly with any questions or problems. Even when I needed immediate help and couldn't get a hold of her, another customer service rep was right there and able to help.

I'm very pleased with Payworks and its services. Whenever I require assistance, my dedicated Client Service Representation Madelene is there to help. I recommend without hesitation Payworks to any small business looking to find an easy and efficient way to process payroll.
