We were delighted to find Sweepnman after moving to the area and finding no other business willing to remove our wooden stove and surrounding brickwork. They were so fast - both times we needed them they came the very next day, and did both phases of the project quickly and efficiently. We worked with Troy, Dan, and Grace - who were all very friendly and professional - and would love to hire them again!

Sweepnman swept my chimney on May 3, 2023. After they swept the chimney they issued a report containing structural and unsafe deficiencies found within my chimney. The recommended repairs were quoted in a separate report which totaled $21, 279. After being alarmed by them explaining my chimney was 'unsuitable for use' and needing so many repairs, I submitted a homeowners insurance claim. The claim was rejected as their chimney experts did not agree with Sweepnman's findings. I needed piece of mind so I called 2 separate chimney companies to inspect my chimney. Both companies were never biased about the Sweepnman findings or told Sweepnman had just cleaned the chimney. Only after their written inspection reports were given to me did we discuss the Sweepnman findings in detail. Surprisingly, neither company saw anything unsafe with my chimney and issued their findings in writing noting only a minor pointing recommendation.

We called sweepnman to fix a downdraft but during their inspection they identified a number of issues making the fireplace a fire hazard unless repaired. We had them do the work that was critical. After we converted from oil to gas years ago, it had never been properly vented/re-directed. They initially thought they would have to tear open part of our wall but luckily they were able to avoid it due to their careful and diligent work. We are very pleased with the professionalism and work by the technicians. A few weeks after we received a thank you note and box of amazing caramels (avenue sweets) for choosing them. That’s service you don’t see much of anymore and it really does makes a difference these days. We will definitely be using them again!

This team of professionals was quick to respond and a crucial part of getting the heat back running in my 2-family house. They installed a new chimney liner and vent pipes for my gas heating systems. I had a brand new system installed recently and was having backdraft issues that were shutting down the system, after their work, no problems. I bought my house two years ago and was unaware of the condition of the two fireplaces I had, one in the basement and one in the main living floor. I called Sweepnman to do an inspection of both and see what it would take to get the main fireplace in operational condition. Mark came out to do a full inspection and cleaning, he was on time, professional and very clean, he laid down mats on the floor and vacuumed the area when he was done. He did a thorough job and presented me with detailed photos and reports, as well as needed repairs to get the fireplaces in working order. I decided to go with Sweepnman to get the main fireplace in working order. I needed both interior and exterior work. Inside, I needed parging, outside I needed a damper replacement, repointing, water sealing, and a flashing repair. Jimmy and his partner came relatively quickly after I decided to proceed with the needed repairs. Like Mark, he was prompt, on time, explained what needed to be done and very clean. We had to wait on the weather to do the exterior, but the main office kept me well informed of schedules. I am happy with the work done by the entire team and would recommend them. As an added bonus, they work with a bank if you choose to finance your work, which I did. That process was entirely online and automated and could not have been easier!

We had an excellent and thoroughly satisfying experience with Sweepnman. After an exasperating experience with a competitor having taken a big deposit without having even put us on their schedule to rebuild the chimney, I turned to Sweepnman. And I'm so glad I did. Their office staff were pleasant and professional. Stan the boss came out pretty soon after my first call and updated his estimate from years prior to rebuild one of our crumbling chimneys. He was friendly and candid and agreed that our idea of installing a stove rather than rebuilding the fireplace would save us money and get us better results. We paid the deposit and within just a few weeks their friendly, skillful, courteous crew (including amusing Chris who performs a special role in addition to chimney work) started to rebuild our chimney and install a stove for us. They took their time to craft a truly beautiful chimney according to our request that both I and my wife are delighted with. They finished with a thorough cleanup of the work debris and the installation of the stove—for which they provided me a helpful tutorial. We couldn't be happier and plan to have them back to work on our other chimneys.

(I am the homeowner here using my son's account as I do not have one.) Dealing with this company was easy, from scheduling an appointment with the office to getting the work done. Dan arrived on time, was very pleasant and professional, and was easy to work with.

I had no idea what was going on with my fireplace and I am so happy I called them before using it. They scheduled me a couple of weeks out, but then called when there was a cancellation and came over the next day. The men were very friendly and professional. My fireplace needs a lot of work and they explained all the details. I will use them in the Spring to repair my chimney.
