When I needed a car for a day; I checked some websites and this was the cheapest option. First of all, Thrifty is owned by Hertz if that puts your mind at ease.This place is very small, and there is only one person working which means it gets a little slow when there is more than 1 customer.However, once you get to talk to the gentleman at the counter, he takes his time to explain everything thoroughly.The car was clean and pretty new.You can also return the car outside working hours which is a huge plus; however, when I was there the cars were parked horribly.I will rent from them again!

The people were really nice, but the car I got was smelly and had lots of stains in it. Not to mention there was some damage on the outside of the car too. So might be worth paying an extra few bucks if you got a date to impress. At least it was inexpensive...

Those scammers charged me an extra day for showing up 12 minutes late when I bailed them out after taking the car from someone who had reserved a car and never showed up nor cancelled. Most of their customers who reserve are late so 10-15 minutes is no big deal. Go next door like I do now at enterprise, they give a 4stars service.

Nice place, however do not be in a rush. Cars are generally not on location and when you show up they call to have them delivered 1+ hour wait even with reservations. A call to let me know would have been thoughtful

This service is a scam dont go.First they never have the car even if you have a reservation. So they start by selling you another car more expensive of course that you can have right away.And when you come back with no scratch nothing. You have employee who will literally scratch your car. We had a tesla so we should have the sentry mode. And of course they can't give it to you funny no ?So they try to charge you even if you have pictures that prouves what you are saying.Please totally ignore those companies that just work together.thrifty and hertz

The garage can be really, REALLY confusing, since you have to drive like five stories underground, and it's badly labeled. I struggled to find the place in the dark when returning my car late in the day. To be fair, the rep did all he could to warn me - and that's probably the only reason why I finally found the right floor!The office is conveniently located, but the garage isn't. If you're returning the car late, you might also end up locked inside the building, which happened to me - only got out when a patrolling security guard happened to notice me.The rental experience was good, just the garage absolutely sucks.

By far the Best customer service and rental policies I’ve experienced in Montreal. There are other rental agencies much closer to me, but I always try to rent from here as it’s always a better experience.
