This used to be our vet of choice but not anymore. We had to put our 17 year old tabby down. We paid quite a bit for this; and then we paid for cremation and a simple urn. We paid extra for a fur clipping; they didn’t bother to check our address and mailed that to a place we hadn’t been at for 10 years. Our Persian got a nasty cough recently. The male vet gave us a hard sell on bloodwork, X-rays, sedation, a charge for him to stay while in sedation…I had to firmly ask for some antibiotics. $30 worth of that cleared him up vs $700 worth of hard up sell. Using your pet’s health to fear monger is really unethical. I think we may lodge a formal complaint against this charlatan.

We had a wonderful experience during a very rough time. We finally made the decision that our beloved first pet was suffering too much. I came into the office, and the ladies were very sympathetic and gave me lots of time to explain our situation. We had the procedure completed the same day, and there was a private room for that. It was very serene and we got lots of time with our beloved pet.Highly recommend from our experience.

Took my kitten here for his second set of shots only to be told he was a week too young for one of them...not sure why they couldnt have told me that on the phone when i booked the appt and was asked how old he is. They couldnt even tell me on the phone how much a microchip cost without putting me on hold twice. During the appt the vet seemed super rushed and basically had me convinced my kitten was dying and wanted me to do all these extra tests (i got a second and third opinion from other vets who both said it is completely unnecessary)The desk staff seemed nice enough and dont get me wrong i will pay any amount necessary to keep my pets healthy but dont try to scam or scare me into it. I will not be back here

Dr. Doonie and the staff here are fantastic! They are understandably very busy but they still make sure to treat everyone with care. She has personally called after a visit to check in on my dog and has scheduled follow up calls with the office staff as well. I always feel like she cares about my dog's wellbeing and genuinely wants to make sure he's happy and healthy!

Please don't take your pet here! There was a used & dirty needle on the floor of the exam room. After I pointed it out, the doctor admitted that she didn't know where it came from, and even that it's a different kind of needle than the usually use (how can you have a random dirty needle in your clinic??) She then strongly suggested" that I take my dog else where for care

I took my two cats to this clinic for vaccinations because it was close to me and they offered a first free exam for two pets. They both needed a booster in a month and as I’ve previously worked in a clinic I assumed that they would just charge for the booster as regular clinics do (or at least a reduced revisit fee) but they wanted to charge $90 each for another exam in a month on top of the booster price. And they asked me if I wanted the 3 year rabies vaccine but failed to mention that it’s double the price. So $75 for a vaccine that lasts for 3 years when I know for a fact that the regular rabies vaccine that cost ~$35 can be given every 3 years.During the consultation the vet asked me a couple of questions and then took my cats “out the back” to do the exam and vaccines - I understand that sometimes cats are better without their owners but I had told them that they were given a sedative and I had worked in the industry so there was no need to take them away from me to do an exam. An exam should be done in front of the owners so that you can explain anything that you may find or ask questions etc.My cats were super anxious and acted strange for 24 hours after that appointment I have since been back to my old clinic that had me present during the whole appointment and they did not have the same reaction. I would not recommend this clinic as they seem like they are just trying to make money and rip people off and don’t actually care for the pets. This clinic is ruining the reputation of the Vet industry.

I am writing this review to warn people to ask what they are paying for ahead of time. After my initial visit with my dog, where she got blood tests and assessed as well as given a head to toe exam, we were told to come back in a months time to get the follow up Lyme shot as it was a two time shot. Today, we came back under the impression that it was just for the shot, as that is what I had been told the last time I was in…. So the Vet comes in checks her out (heart beat, a bit of palpating, ear temperature) then proceeds to give her the shot. I came out and was told it was $130- which took me off guard as I was told it was going to be about $40- my bill was mailed. When I got home i took a look at my email receipt and I saw a charge of an extra $90- for an exam (which had I known was extra I would not have consented to.). I call this bad business. I called and spoke to the receptionist and was given a mediocre explanation for the exam charge… even though my dog had a thorough exam a month ago! This kind of business practice is not acceptable… I’m not ok about this…waiting for a manager to call me back? I doubt I’ll return. My last vet was way more professional. In case your looking… go to Queens Park Veterinary Hospital.
