CIBC Branch with ATM

Horrible experience. I would not recommend going to this branch. The teller sitting on the extreme left window was horrible to deal with. I just left the branch and I was forced to write this as I am sitting in the parking lot. Saturday December 4 at 9:54am.My lawyer friend had to leave the country urgently due to a family situation. She asked me to help with a closing. I went to RBC last night and the process of getting the bank draft was smooth. They listened to my situation and worked around it. This CIBC teller won’t listen a thing and kept misbehaving as to why I don’t have physicalpaper.I bank with CIBC, have to look for a new bank now.

My friend visited the bank to withdraw a substantial amount of cash for a significant expense. However, upon informing the teller, he was immediately notified that the transaction might be flagged as fraudulent, resulting in the temporary locking of his account.Despite providing all the necessary identification, PINs, and accurate information, the teller insisted on contacting a hotline to verify the transaction. Even after successfully answering all the questions posed during the call, they adamantly refused to release the funds. The situation escalated when the manager arrived, yet even their intervention did not prompt the teller to grant access to the money.Further delays ensued as the bank needed to consult their fraud teams, forcing my friend to return two hours later before finally receiving his money. This entire ordeal consumed four hours, entailing multiple phone calls and enduring abysmal customer service from the teller.

One of the worse customer service branches ever. My god what a terrible experience. Whenever I call this place… all I hear is…‘Hi my name is Antonio Cheung, we are here to help’How are you here to help Antonio? It is 11 AM and I probably called you 20 times, with no one picking up... ever. Please tell us how you help?This place is terrible.

Highly racist bank, not from anyone else except the Chinese teller on the furthest left . I have constantly had problems with Chinese tellers not helping, being rude and always not accepting my cheques. I have constantly had to speak to someone higher up in order to resolve my issues.

I went to the branch to transfer some funds between my CIBC a/c and deposit some cash into a new a/c. The teller told me that I need to talk to my financial adviser to transfer the fund and I need to talk to a Personal Banker to open a new a/c. She then told me that I can deposit the cash into the new a/c thru the ATM machine. I understand that the front line teller is taking on a lot of risk & stress during the covid pandemic. However, what's the purpose of having people lined up in the branch if I should do all my banking needs thru other means? I walked out the branch without accomplishing any task.

Busy location, yet knowledgeable and friendly staff. I've been banking with them for over 10 years now. The previous reviews left don't reflect my experience. I guess negative people will always find a way to complain.

My husband and I worked with Ivy Li to set up our accounts with CIBC. She was extremely helpful, knowledgable and patient. I would recommend her and this branch to anyone.

Typically, the tellers here are very pleasant... But today, Rosie must have been having a terrible day and gave me an anormous amount of attitude and poor customer service. I feel bad for whatever she is feeling stressed about, but as the front line representative of the bank, please be nice to your clients. Hope she feels better soon.

I was received by a teller who was not able to assist me, then she asked me to go to one of the rooms for customer service, I waited for 30 minutes without being assisted by anyone, only two offices were manned, one of the was on the phone for more than 20 minutes and after she finished, I asked for help but she asked me to wait a little more, another 15 minutes and no news and had to ask a different person who also asked me to wait, when I waited for another 10 minutes I had to ask another person for help and he gave me abrupt answer without even looking at me. I felt I am not welcomed and will not use that branch again
