Absolutely amazing service! Stephanie walked me through my deck design and quote, and her knowledge and enthusiasm made the experience a total pleasure. Her suggestions brought the plan together, she patiently revised the quotes after my many changes. I've never received better service anywhere else.

This is a true testament of a great small town business. Since they opened I've been in the store several times. From chainsaws to paint to numerous other things they've had everything I've looked for. The staff are amazing. You don't have to go to lost and found a find somebody to help you find something in the store their staff is always walking around offering assistance.

I phoned in to ask if they have patio 18 inch patio slabs. The gent who I spoke with said they did so I drove quite a distance to buy some. When I went to the customer service kiosk and asked the young woman about patio slabs she looked in her book and said they didn't have them. I told her I had phoned in and was told they did. Instead of taking my word for it and checking with a senior staffer she was quite insistent and repeated they didn't have them. I went back out to my truck and passed the clearance tent and low and be hold there were stack of 18 inch patio slabs holding the tent guy wires down. I went back in and walked past the 'know it all' girl to the contactor desk. Asked the gent and he confirmed they had lots and made me up a bill. The web site proudly claimed 'knowledgeable' staff. Well it should also mention they have at least one who hasn't a clue but pretends she knows everything. If I hadn't seen the slabs myself I would have made a long trip for nothing.

So I was at Kingdom lumber in lakefield today. Thought I'd go to the new store as I've had good dealing with Grant and Adam at the old store.The new store wow they have so much more people there. Yet the parking lot was pretty empty.Anyways I went there to see about rail ties the big ones. I've gotten them their before well the old store. Went and chatted with the lumber guy he took me over to the contractors desk. I seen Adam in the back busy. So this lady thought to help me. Told her what I was looking for she said they don't sell them. Then said they got the mini ties. (Not what I'm looking for as I'm looking for height.)Anyways she says they have pressure treated I was think hmmm ok sounds good but then she said I don't think you can afford that. I was think umm pardon you. (Did she just say that?) I said what was that? She said again I don't think you can afford it.I ended up just walking out. Thinking how much I spent at there old store how many thousands in lumber for a variable of projects. They have lost my business. I went to that new Home Hardware Building Center is in Lakefield the old Cashway, Rona building.My order was a little under $400 dollars. I guess I'm scraping by to afford that one.

Had never been into this store before and my wife and i were out doing some pricing for our siding project. was shocked when they were approx 30% more for the exact same siding as one of their competitors in town.we were also thrilled to find they had the bathtub we had ordered from home depot for less than what we had paid. I jumped onto my email and cancelled my existing order, why pay more for the exact same product. They had a display model in stock, which had a small fracture at the top of the deck. We thought, no big deal, they advertise the price is $1099 on the physical tub, as well as the on the mini display tubs, showing the price and indicating its a special order. When i inquired with the associate in the the kitchen and bath department that i wanted to place an order she very quickly told me it'll be more expensive than the advertised price as the acrylic pricing had shot up". at this point i walked away frustated.before leaving i decided to double back and clarify as nowhere does it indicate that 1099 was only for the display model (with a crack none the less) and in fact the mini tub literally shows the price with a tag saying its a special order. once the associate was finally available i double checked that there was no new stock in a box (there wasn't) and that they wouldn't honour the price that they had listed in two different locations

great local store with lots of stock and pricing that beats the bigger chains on the most partstaff is friendly and knowledgeableGrand opening sale today

The folk there are awesome! ALWAYS willing to help and are friendly!Prices are pretty good on some things compared to home depot. Would recommend them!

Nice place to shop for products close by. Not nearly as stocked as a Home Depot but is a handy local store. Biggest negative issue is it's Website. Nowhere to search for products, prices or stock supply. This needs to be changed to compete with the Big Boys"!"
