Creedan Valley Care Community

My mother was in Creemore nursing home. Hands down it is the worst long term care facility I've ever seen. Some of the PSWs where great and a couple of nurses actually cared about the residents. But on the other hand you had some staff that would stand around talking while patients alarms where going off. One day I timed the alarm it was going for 45min before someone answered. My mother took ill and we had to fight to get an ambulance there to take her to the hospital where they found she had cancer and had 7 months left to live. It's a horrible place and I feel awful for allowing my mom to be placed there.

The director of the Ministry of Long-Term Care’s inspections branch — ordered Creedan Valley to address its failures in October 2019, the home had already been cited 67 times by inspectors for failing to comply with the Long-Term Care Homes Act, received 34 orders to comply with the legislation and its regulations, and had been asked to come up with 27 “voluntary plans of correction.”A Star investigation has found that problems escalated to the director of the inspections branch rarely result in formal orders like the one Creedan Valley received.

This home is a very good home my mother likes it their. They take very good care of her. She had her 100th. birthday and the home did a great job. They have done their best to keep everyone safe from C-19. I think the home is one big happy family.
