Motel 6 Kamloops, BC

New furniture so that's nice, clean apart from a cigarette burn on bed cover and the dried blood stain on my pillow case and the yellow water that drips on you from the fan in the bathroom after you get out of the shower. Also our card key didn't work and the manager said they couldn't get anyone to reprogram it so we had to go to the office to ask to be let in energy time we wanted in. He was awake 24/7 apparently but so was a female resident in a unit who had lots of visitors over the weekend we stayed, luckily the 24hr a day manager checked on her regularly seemed to have a special nearly handshake with some of her visitors. Great restaurant next door and it's near Tim's for coffee. Oh and you only get half a toilet paper on arrival. I travel for work so have been in worse places yet that still doesn't make me want to go back. It's a shame as he could fix this problem during his life of never sleeping. It could be a great place if looked after. Second night there was a guy unloading a foam mattress from car to stay in a double room with two guys in it. Something very dodgy occurring at this place lol. Motel 6 needs to send mystery shoppers out before bad people make them into motel -6. Yuk.

If you need to choose between sleeping in your car and this place. Do your self a favour and sleep in your car. Paper thin walls, heat didnt work in the room, crack heads coming and going until atleast 4am. People yelling and when i phoned the front desk he acted as if i was the crazy. Waste of time and money. we left after 4 hours of trying to sleep.

I spent a few days at this wonderful hotel! It had a combination of old world ambience and everyday comfort. The staff were so patient and kind and I so much appreciated that. I will definitely return!

I’m not sure why all of the low ratings. My experience was great. Check in was fast and easy after a long day. The two men in the office were very nice and helpful. The room was clean. The sheets and towels were fresh and they allowed me to have my cat with me. Which was amazing. I honestly have nothing bad to say. Would definitely stay here again. Prices were reasonable too.

Yup a 1 star hotel. Not $80 as advertised, try $116. TV remote only changes channels. Room is clean but noisy. Staff are polite.Too tired to care tonight.

Our room had dirty cups, no coffee maker, the slide lock looked like it had been kicked in and hung from one screw. The bathroom lacked a sink and it had a sink and mirror in the main area. It wasn't well insulated around the door and they must spend a fortune on heating and cooling, because the reek of cigarettes and pot wafted in through the cracks in the door. It was cheap, and the staff was nice. The best part of the stay was watching it disappear in the rearview mirror.
