Little Bavaria Restaurant
We shared the Bavarian plate for two and it was very good! We highly recommend it. The owner was very personable and the wait staff did a great job of taking care of us. We would definitely recommend them for a fantastic meal, nice atmosphere and good service!

The food quality and service hasn't changed since a change in ownership. Which is a good thing. The Schnitzel is their trademark dish and we have never been disappointed. The house made Spaetzel was perfect. They even do gluten free dishes. Service was spot on. The server kept apologizing for neglecting us as she felt it was busy but she did a great job. Mixed drinks were good. Not outstanding but the prices match the drinks. A very comfortable place to go and you can always depend on the food and service to be as expected. Highly recommend if you want comfort food.

I have seldom enjoyed a restaurant meal more. There was nothing about this meal that wasn't outstanding in every way. The food was delicious, generous, and everything from the sauces to the salad dressings to the red cabbage was home made. If you have any dietary restrictions, they know exactly the ingredients of everything they serve. The chef/owner came out and visited with each table to make sure everyone was happy. And last but not least the wait staff... our waitress was Michelle, a person who clearly enjoys her job, is proud of where she works and knows the menu inside and out. We did not have a reservation (and you REALLY should make one), but she found a spot for us, threw on a clean tablecloth, and made us feel like family. It is a small and very popular spot, and quite often too busy for walk-ins, so they strongly recommend reservations. GREAT SPOT FOR DATE NIGHT, BIRTHDAYS, ANNIVERSARY, OR JUST CUZ.

We were passing by Port Alberni on a road trip and was recommended this place, the staff did their best accommodate us on a full night and made sure to let us know they would be right back if they saw us trying to get their attention while it was busy. They made the experience great, and the food was amazing too! The place was decked in awards and truly worth it!

Loved this place. Drive 1.5 hours to get there on the recommendation of a visitor center employee. Great Bavarian food. I went for the schnitzel and thoroughly enjoyed. Small and cozy. Very friendly staff. Cathedral Grove be way there was also a great stop. Huge old growth trees! Well worth the stop.

We had a friend recommend we try out Little Bavaria. They said if we haven't been in that we have been missing out. We tried the seafood platter for 2. It was AMAZING! So much food, enough to feed 4 people with ease. The staff were attentive and very friendly. Everyone stopped in to chat including Brandon.Great food, great people and a great atmosphere. We will be back!

Great authentic German food here! Wiener Schnitzel and red cabbage was the best we've had since we lived in Bavaria. Not the best German wines though, unfortunately, so we drank reliable German beer instead. Good value for money and Server was really friendly.

Little Bavaria Restaurant
Food is just average but priced as if it's gourmet. Service is excellent, but I don't believe this place deserves the rating it currently has. Old time Port Alberni loves this restaurant hence the amazing rating it has, however we brought some out of town friends here and neither they nor us were impressed. It's iconic because of its age but nothing more.
