Get a 20% discount on admission when you give them your presto card seems like a better option than buying online/in advance if you don’t mind a little bit of a wait.Had a fun 5 hours and 20000 steps in. There were a few animals off display because it was too hot out. Would recommend bringing lunch, snacks, and a refillable water bottle. There are a bunch of benches to eat at and water refill stations.Their signage and map was easy to navigate. They also had fun facts and other signs which were educational and nice if you take the time to read.

The zoo is a fun place for families and friends. Wear comfortable walking shoes, stay hydrated and have fun. There is lot of food and drinks on sale throughout the 700 acres of land. There is adequate parking. Lots of picnic areas, washrooms and vending machines throughout. It's definitely worth it to buy your tickets and parking online to avoid the lines. When it's too hot, the animals tend to stay in their enclosure or just lie around. Still always a great place to spend time with the family.

It's fun for little kids and a great educational space to learn about various animals around the world. Maybe it's the time of year we went, not too many animals are out on display. There's some nice boardwalks and pathways throughout that make for a scenic walk. Definitely a good way get steps in!It was raining for half of the day so the zoo wasn't too crowded which is what I prefer. Will be back for special events.

Most favorite place to go with a toddler. We visited end of May. We loved all the sections, African section is my favorite. Easy to spend half day or more here. Easy walking paths mostly, so toddlers can walk, we still rented the zoo stroller , our little one loved it and wouldn’t want to get off. Animals are so cute, and Hippos are huge. Try to go early as it opens to avoid crowds. They even have splash pads for summers.

We had a great family day there. We were a bit disappointed that there were no elephants, and several animals were not viewable". I liked the balance between indoor and outdoor exhibits. I enjoyed going behind the waterfall. The pictures behind it were really cool."

A large zoo with 7 different areas based on the continents, I think. Each area sports a different environment with different animals with ample space for them to roam around and some even coexist. Some of the animals though are off display due to weather and health concerns so definitely a membership or seasonal pass is worth it.Might be a bit difficult for the elderly or the not physically fit so I think it is better to purchase tickets for the zoo mobile for a hassle free experience tour guides there are great too.Finished touring the whole zoo in half a day with breaks although we missed some sightings and some animals are off display so you definitely need to go there multiple times to view all

The Toronto Zoo is truly a magical place! I understand why it's recommended to purchase a membership because there's not enough time on a day trip to observe all 450 + species. For the nature and animal enthusiasts, it's definitely worth purchasing the membership! On a busy Saturday, the entrance lineup was long! I would highly recommend scanning the QR code at the entrance or purchasing your pass online. This will save you at least 45 minutes. When you arrive, simply show your QR code to the clerk. You will get lost on the 700 acres of land if you do not keep your map handy. The maps can be found near the front entrance.Indo Malaya was my favorite site at the zoo. Observing the beauty of the peacocks was truly the highlight of my visit - the most magnificent creature I have ever seen.Overall, I do not have one negative thing to say about my visit. I truly had an incredible day. It's a great place to spend the day with the family and friends. Bring your own food or purchase food at the zoo. There's an abundance of picnic tables to sit and eat.

We had a great visit! The park was accommodating to people with disabilities and children. The layout was excellent to walk with good shoes and a child in a stroller. We saw most exhibits, zipping around in a condensed timeframes, since we traveled 2.5 hours from home. There were also plenty of shaded areas to rest and pavilions to have lunch or a snack. The animals were very visible in almost all enclosures. The new boardwalk through the wooded area is well crafted and the wooded canopy is a sight of it's own. Last time I had visited the snow leopard was coming soon and what a beautiful big cat to see. Make sure to see the camel's and the newest baby camel born this spring 2023... was only 2 weeks old today - so cute and worth going to visit this summer to see this baby grow. The gorillas were very entertaining and exciting to watch! Hippos were playful! My daughter is about 1 and a half and she was very engaged with learning animals in real life and sight seeing. This time of year there weren't many mosquitoes as well - loved it!

I recently visited the Toronto Zoo on a sunny day with my friends and family, and it was a delightful experience overall. The zoo boasts an impressive variety of animal species, offering an educational and entertaining day out. However, it's worth noting that due to avian influenza, some bird exhibits were not accessible during our visit. Nevertheless, the zoo's vast collection of other animals, from majestic mammals to fascinating reptiles, made up for the temporary setback. The well-maintained enclosures and knowledgeable staff contributed to a memorable day, leaving us with a desire to return for another adventure in the future.

The zoo itself is nice and clean. (reason for which I have rated 2 stars, and not 1)It was disappointing to see so many animals not on display in some sections of the zoo.The zoo services are awful. The worst are the zoo mobile and membership services. The zoo mobile is supposed to come every 15 minutes according to signs. If you ask any zoo mobile staff in how much time is the next zoo mobile coming, they'll tell you in 10-15 minutes or 15-20 minutes, and you end up waiting 45 minutes or 1 hours before seeing the next zoo mobile. It's not a one off issue. It has been the case each time I visited the zoo and waited for the zoo mobile. Once I even left after waiting more than 1 hour at the main station without seeing a single zoo mobile coming by. Many other people left as well. The membership services is even worst, especially the HEAD OF MEMBERSHIP of the zoo. That person is a very rude lady who talks loudly to humiliate you in front of all other staff and guests/clients/members. She tells you that the value of a membership is 2 entries at the zoo. You don't need to be a genius to understand that the value of a yearly membership is from day 1 to day 365, and not 2 entries at the zoo. It is normal to expect an acceptable level of services for what is included in the membership package. And when you complain, they don't care. They just take your money and do not care whether or not they are able to provide an acceptable level of service. They do nothing to make up for it.Management is not even on the ground to see how things are going on, and how to make things better for guests/clients/members.Moreover, when comparing last year's membership which included zoo mobile access, for this year you will have to pay about 60% more if you want a membership which includes the zoo mobile access. 60% increase is a huge amount. For those who never went to the zoo, it's worth paying a day pass ticket and spending the whole day visiting the zoo.As far as the zoo membership itself is concerned, it's a hard pass for me. I took my first zoo membership last year, and will not be renewing it.I will look for other zoos or safari experiences around.
