A very strict judgemental and horrific home to recover. They left me homeless. I think the director is more of a police officer. I would not recommend anyone seeking treatment to go there.

Empathy House saved my life. Having been through treatment twice before, my expectations were low. Needless to say, I was pleasantly surprised when not only did the staff at Empathy House treat me like a human being, my program of recovery was tailored specifically to my needs. Jodi, Dawn, and Tiffany were, and continue to be, an integral part of my recovery. Their tried and true approach works, if you don’t resist what they suggest. It works, if you work it!I am proud to wear my Empathy House pin and to be one of the Alumni. I owe my 15+ months of continued sobriety to them and their encouragement, compassion and structure.If you need help, Empathy House is the place to get it.

The program and outline is good. However the DOC is Harsh and very judgemental. SO So many rules to follow and constantly stay up on. No room for errors. the assertions are ridiculous. Ok if they were coming from employed Staff but NOT from peers. I think the staff feel the same but cant voice their opinions. in fear of losing their jobs.

It was a peaceful rehab centre but I wouldn’t come to this place if your not white. No offence because I did learn a LOT from the classes but i realized a lot of my addiction was depression around the racism I have gone through in life, that I couldn’t be open about at this place being the only colored person here . I wish I could of stayed but there was no way to be completely myself.
