They carry an ~$20M cash balance on their books year over year. I was very concerned about this but was provided an in-depth response which satisfied my reservations. Very impressed with the empathy shown by the team.In summary, their year-end cash balance is always a lot higher due to December donations as well as needing to maintain a cash balance to sustain them til the next Ramadan. This is because Ramadan brings the majority of funds for the year.The team is also working on bringing down their cash balance while spending responsibly on projects as opposed to attempting to spend it all at once. I would recommend this charity highly due to their extraordinary attention to assuaging donor concerns.

This charity does amazing work I love their events as well. They are transparent when you ask for information. I sponsored an orphan in Pakistan they sent me all their information. Haven’t had a bad experience. Appreciate all the hard work they have been doing for decades. If you are doubtful, attend one of their volunteer abroad opportunities and see the work they are doing yourself.

An amazing organization that is transparent in all of their work! I have never had a question go unanswered by their amazing team! It has one of the lowest- if not the lowest- operating costs! Will continue to donate and support this wonderful organization!

Amazing staff and volunteers, they are always putting in extra work and going an extra mile. The staff work countless hours to make sure fundraising events and all other events are fulfilled with everyones satisfaction regardless of what religion.

I'm horrified that IRC had to undergo accusations against this wonderful charity and happy that your reputation was rightly cleared. They do great work and are recognized internationally for their humanitarian work. I have been using their services for a number of years now. The website is easy to use and the contact centre is friendly. I had a zakat question which I emailed to the organization and an imam called me back to answer my question. The imam also happens to be my local mosque imam and community worker who I have seen and heard over the years. I also went to an event when they brought over an overseas scholar and the event was great. In toronto and edmonton they sponsor various programs for youths. I have personally visited these events and they are a great way of uplifting the community. I have been with them for years now and apart for occasional unwanted printed advertising material, which I would request to stop for me personally, I am satisfied with their work. At the end of the day charity is your intention, there are many Canada based Islamic charity organizations doing good work, Islamic Relief is one of them. May Allah continue to bless their work and make their path easy.

I’m sorry but suing someone over investigating his donations and exposing the truth is not Islamic at all. Being transparent is one of the Islamics characteristics. you are a charity organization you should not be in the court system at all.

This is a charity like no other. Good honest work for the sake of Allah swt. Alhamdulilah I’ve had the opportunity to go to the field overseas more than once to witness the charity’s work firsthand. I’ve witnessed not just aid, but the most effective of aid in all forms, from immediate help to sustainable projects, all given to and for the beneficiaries who need it most. I’ve been told by those who have been on the receiving end of this charity’s work that their lives have changed one to many times. Know that your money is in good hands. There’s a reason why this charity is as big as it is Alhamdulilah, and it is because of the honest, good, open, and transparent work they have and always will carry out.

Ive been sponsoring an orphan from Yemen from 2021 and as much as it is heartbreaking to cancel a sponsorship I had to do so.This « foundation » lacks communication. Basic check-ups and asking about the child I sponsored became a second job, having to send multiple emails. You do get polite service reps who answer the phone, but that is it.The amount of money they waste on paper mail is ridiculous. If I’m already sponsoring a child, why am I getting brochures about sponsoring more children along with pointless letters, excess brochures that carry no information in them?
