Owner was very friendly and service was excellent.Ordered a peking duck and it was stale, the skin was tough and soft as opposed to crispy. The meat was exceedingly dry and did not taste fresh. Same with cucumbers, rather sad and droopy and no crispiness/juiciness. Service: 10/10Food: 1/10

Ordered Peking duck, kung pao chicken, duck soup, and fried pork dumplings. Kung pao chicken was mostly onions and probably the poorest value. Peking duck was very dry. Pork dumplings had a decent amount of meat, but we had to ask for vinegar and the skin was particularly thick. Duck soup was probably the best thing on our table.Would describe as acceptable but forgettable. Not great value other than sitting on a patio.

This is a brand new restaurant on Baldwin where Kowloon used to be. Newly renovated and comfortable seating and also licensed to serve alcohol. There are a few lunch specials on the menu about 10 items, but even if not ordering off the lunch specials the prices are very reasonable. My wife and I stopped by for lunch and ordered 6 items that we love eating to see how they compare with other places. We found that everything is very tasty except for the pork burger which we found a little bland. This place is very comparable to other places like Asian legend and service is great. I think we will go back in the near future to try their other dishes.

The tea aroma was satisfying. However the food was extremely mediocre and had no flavor. Had to ask for extra condiments to balance it out. Chicken cartilage was sweet and sour unlike the other ones which was a little unfitting because that is not supposed to be the case coming from a northern chinese.Service a bit slow as they only have 1 server for the whole entire restaurant. Would be helpful to hire a few more people for rush hour.

The peking duck so salty and soft, skin is not crispy at all. And it was cut in chunks not slices as it’s supposed to be. The pancakes for the duck are hard. The duck soup is salty too, and there is hair in it. Ordered 锅包肉but got 咕咾肉 instead. 70 dollars for these dishes, terrible.

It was a terribly experience on a Friday night. We wished we could had chosen other spot on Balwin St. The foods were not even worth half of what we paid tonight! It was newly opened so we gave a try tonight. The hostess at the entrance did not look up when we were there standing at the door to be served. Once seated we found the bench were so narrow that the table is pushing against out tommy. We noticed there was a party where a bunch of noisy Chinese students were yelling laudly at each others and walking a around while heavily drunk. It reminded me of a night pub on campus during the frosh week! The napkin were rather thin in poor quality like the take out order from the Manchu Wok on the cheaply food court. They give you a hot tea bottle with chinese tea bag inside. It smelled like strong artificial chemical so we didn't want to drink it. We ordered some dishes to try out including the lamp & beef in onion and they were all tasted very salty. The worst part were the steam rice we ordered which was dry and rubber like 5 mins Uncle Ben Rice. It was totally not acceptable as it was not cooked well done at all. Beside with the yelling, drinking noise from the corner, the food quality really turned our appetite off immediately! We didn't bother to finish our food ordered and quickly walk out of this place to find some peace! This is another typical northern Chinese restaurants like everywhere in Chinatown. Their major customers are oversea Chinese students nearby. Their menu items mostly are all identical with 90% similarities. Eventhough this spot was just opened last week, the attitude of the manager and servers were cold and not friendly when asking. Will not recommend to any friends to try out!

After reading the bad reviews I was hesitant but I went to the patio anyways, I got the bbq skewers, corn, sweet potato and a spicy chicken dish. Everything came in a timely manner, everything was so delicious i have gone back twice for the skewers and sweet potato! I tried the onion pancake and it was amazing. Not to mention the lady serving is so kind and attentive to everything, I really do recommend going here, I personally had a really positive experience and I believe they must have changed something. It’s really worth it, the patio is covered and private and very comfortable so you can enjoy your food. 10/10 recommended don’t let the reviews scare you, try for yourself, i recommend the bbq chicken skewers and sweet potato and egg fried rice !

Ordered Peking duck, pork belly skewers and spicy wontons and struggled with whether I should throw it all out or tough it out after a bite of everything. Peking duck is not at all authentic. Super dry, basically deboned pieces rather than thinly sliced and so salty. Even the hoisin sauce was salty! Legit Peking duck at high-end chinese restaurants is the same price so don't bother with this. The most palatable dish were the wontons and even that is super salty.

The worst Chinese restaurant in GTA. Ordered duck bone from FoodHwy app. This restaurant gave me another food and it’s disgusting. See the following pictures:

I don't understand why this place has such negative reviews. I've been here 3 times so far with my son and I always have an amazing experience. The waitress is incredibly sweet and so accommodating. We get fried rice, spicy chicken stir fry, BBQ chicken, BBQ corn (always so juicy and sweet) and the sweet potato. Always so good!!! I promise you won't regret eating here. And seriously try the fried rice, it is ridiculously good.
