Centre de Pêche Marchand

The best place to have a great time. We were well accommodated. We caught lots of fish and most of all we want to come back soon...To everyone there thanks for the fun in these hard times ...

We saw a YouTube video recommending Marchand last year. Online appointment is very convenient. The staffs are very nice, the cabins are well-equipped, and the toilet is clean. We arrived here at 2 o'clock this afternoon. We caught Tomcod as soon as we lowered the hook and continued until 4 o'clock. We will come to the blue cabin next time.

I felt it was a bit dishonest to take reservations and charge clients full price knowing exactly that there’s no fish. What’s the point of doing this activity then?We drove 4h round trip and paid more than 200$ to stay in a shabby cabin without catching a single fish. Moreover, they told us to change the bait every 5-10 minutes (to keep us busy or mock at us?). And after we started fishing they told us there was no fish and it was there in January. So why do you keep your business open in February?! At least let people know what they are signing up for in advance! I felt robbed.Also their website description is not accurate - when I asked about water I was told “you need to bring your own water”, while on the website it says that there’s access to hot water.

Super fishing! A lot of fun and crazy lot of fish! For kids this is the best place to in winter.

Friendly staff and a great place to go for the day. We weren't lucky enough to catch a lot of fish, but it was a fun experience, especially for first timers.

It was one of the most marvellous experiences I'd ever had! We were worried about being in the bitter Quebec cold, but cabins are cozy and safe (there is a furnace inside, and an opening near the side of the room where you fish - it's unlikely you'll fall in). The staff were so friendly and we were able to communicate despite their French and my English. Cabins were very neat and clean, with a small couch and table. The fishing itself was easy and we were able to fish an insane amount of fish despite our lack of experience (tip: how you hook the bait is key!). There were tons of fish. The fish itself is very tasty. A wonderful way to spend the day (or night). I would definitely bring a date or family here for a fun, hilarious getaway.

The service was awesome and super helpful. It was a great day with our friends and we caught tons of fish even though we'd never ice fished before. They are dog friendly too so we brought along our pup for the day.
