ICBC Driver Licensing

Passed my class 5 road test on the second try. My examiner Keith is amazing. He was so calm and patiently answered all my questions (and there was a lot). I told him I was a bit nervous before the test started and he was super understanding. He gave super super clear directions and he was so professional. Seriously give this man a raise! He helped calm my nerves as well and gave me advice when I asked questions. When he debriefed me after the road test he was super clear and respectful (which I find rare among other icbc staff in my past experiences lol). He elaborated on what I could improve on and again super super respectful. 10/5 stars.My previous interaction with my previous examiner was not as pleasant, but taking the road test with Keith really changed my perspective about ICBC point grey. I would’ve never given this ICBC branch 5 stars before lol, but Keith deserves 10 stars, so he compensates for the —5 stars ICBC has in my eyes prior to this. I wouldn’t complain so much about going to ICBC if all the staff were a little bit more like Keith. Seriously, Keith is a perfect example of what an examiner should be and again give this man a raise!!!!

I had the best experience. I arrived a little bit in advance and was admitted on time. The wait was slim to none. The gentleman who was helping me was so kind, and truly cared about me getting my drivers license. He even suggested and was willing to wait for me to go back home to get me foreign drivers license! I wish I knew his name, so I could ask ICBC to give him a raise! Dear ICBC, just in case you can find him, this great man was working at desk number 8 at 2pm on a Friday, June 9! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Hazel and Esson went the extra mile with helpful, kind, efficient service with a complicated international drivers license, repatriating Canadian national situation. What could have been super frustrating and a time burden for everyone was brought to a logical solution. Thank you!

One of the new road test examiners needs to work on his attitude, he cannot represent ICBC if ICBC is a service provider not considering themselves as a powerful department. We asked his notes on the paper what “DE” stands for, he’s quite impatient and hinted our English not good enough….why did he use the abbreviation whilst no willing to explain?? If you do not show your comments clearly, are you trying to improve me for next road test or just fail me??

Passed my class 5 road test here on my first attempt. Examiner Ryan was very calm, eased my nerves at the beginning and gave clear instructions throughout the test. That helped me to drive normally as I should and I passed without any difficulty.

I had a horrible experience with my driving instructor, his initials are TC. He was frustrated before we even got in the car, then he kept sighing and even rolling his eyes whenever i would ask to clarify something. At one point he even hit my window with his hand out of frustration even though i was perfectly in the right?! He would make me park with hardly a warning on a street where i was going 50, i had to break check many people because of that. I shoulder checked every single turn that i made, even when passing a bike, and he still marked me off for shoulder checks. I was driving a truck and he was upset that i parked close to other cars, even though he asked me to park my car in small parking spots. I did another road test at the South Surrey location and they were a lot kinder, don’t recommend the point grey location.

There are too many constructions, houses and schools around. They say they don't gonna trick you, but any time they want, they send you to these streets roads where is just impossible to keep track of all the hiding signs at 50 km, and at the moment you lower your speed at around 40 at the end of the test they say that you were too slow or to fast depending if you were able to see all those traffic cones and sings.What I'm trying to say is that if you don't wanna make your life harder, just avoid this place at this moment.

Getting my N:Might be a hit or miss with the driver instructor. I came here twice, and my first experience wasn't the best, but I did make my own mistakes as I was not familiar with the roads, so make sure you drive around before your test. The second time, I was blessed with Joseph as my instructor. He was VERY CLEAR and CALM with me, which helped a lot (I struggle with anxiety and hate test). He made this test 100 times easier than my first test, just by presenting himself as a very calm, natured, and nice person. He makes everything clear. In the end, he gave me great feedback on what I still need to work on and what I have to improve with. THANK YOU, JOSEPH, YOU WERE AMAZING!!!
