We got Brad from Atta-boy inspections as our inspector. He was friendly, very professional and thorough with his inspection. He went above and beyond in accommodating us with less than 24 hrs notice which meant a lot to us that have a busy schedule. He came and started early from our scheduled inspection time which left a good impression on us.As he went through his assessment he took his time and did not rush assessing the houses' condition as well as explaining things for a 1st time home buyers like us. He provided an easy to understand suggestions for things that needs to look after as a part of regular house maintenance and was straight forward on what needs to be corrected..The 80 plus pages of inspection report scared my wife but after going through every page with detailed and easy to understand explanations and recommendations she calmed down. :)

Our realtor recommended Atta-Boy Inspections for our home purchase, and I was admittedly initially hesitant. Reading other reviews eased some of the worries I had, and I ultimately regret having any hesitation at all.David conducted our home inspection, showed up early, and completed an exterior review of the home before I had arrived. I added the optional sewer inspection and thermal survey and I would highly recommend adding them to your future inspection. My initial assumptions of the sewer line risks were wrong, and had David not surveyed the 90+ feet of sewer line I would have had no idea about the intrusive roots that are present. The thermal imaging also showed that some drywall staining was benign, and that the rest of the 60 year old structure was in good shape.Our inspection report was completed the same day and provided the thermal, sewer, phone, and aerial imagery alongside David's comments. We have already started renovations based on David's thorough inspection, and will continue to reference his notes for the renovations to come.Adding the thermal imaging and sewer inspection were no small cost, but worth every penny to give yourself the peace of mind knowing every detail about your current or future home. If I ever need inspection services in the future, Atta-Boy will be my first call.

Both setting up the appointment and getting information was super easy and efficient, and the inspection itself was thorough and complete. The home inspector conducted the inspection thoroughly and completed within the expected duration of 3 hours. The report was quickly prepared with observations and recommendations, within an hour after the inspection. The possible room for improvement is in the detail of the report summary. The report summary could include the scope of inspection (e.g. 22 areas from exterior to attic), a summative statement (e.g. the inspection results were mainly acceptable), and quantifiable results (e.g. 67.8% of the 205 responses to the inspection items was acceptable and 28.8% was monitor/ maintenance). With a report summary in more detail, the home inspection could be raised to a even higher professional level.
