TD Canada Trust Branch and ATM

Not helpful or accommodating for those anxious about being in crowded places or may have been exposed so wanting to wait outside vs standing around about 10 unmasked people (including people coughing).Bank tellers were efficient and kind though, but we live in a world that should be accommodating for all, especially at a bank.Feel shaken by my experience.

Last week I spoke to a putative information person at the front of the branch and asked a simple question about my small business account. He said he couldn't answer and would ask his superior. He returned without an answer, took my tele. and email and said his superior would contact me. I've heard nothing. This is not the first time I've encountered this kind of service at your Runnymeade branch: either no response or a reply one week later.

I’m a new customer...so far so good. Had pleasant experiences with tellers and other staff. They could make improvements on online banking and their USD to CAD rate isn’t that great.Edit: Changing from 4 to 2 stars, due to the real unpleasant experience with the branch manager today, Sunday-Mar 3rd, 2019. I was in the branch to change security pin of my new credit card. I spent an hr in the branch today for such a small task, which already should have been an automated process and I personally never had to do a pin change at the branch before this. Teller says she needs to check 2 government issued IDs (which again is the first time I ever heard of to getting your credit card activated). Anyhow I had one physical id with me and another as a photocopy on my phone. She couldn’t consider that and checked with the manager as well, who agrees with her and sends me off. I make a call to credit card support and explain them the situation. They tell me to have the TD branch rep call from their phone and they could help her out with the verification process. I go back to the teller and she guides me to the same manager again. I explain the whole situation again and now when I ask her to call the support, she says it’s not worth her time, and removes that security hold herself and activated the card and lets me change the pin.Note to the manager: If you do take your customers account security seriously, then you can’t consider making a phone call to follow the proper procedure a waste of time. And if it wasn’t really a requirement to check 2 pieces of id, then you could have helped me out the very first time.

Any advisor I have seen here were very young and inexperienced. Maybe someone can respond here and let me know how I can see an experienced advisor?

ATM used to be open 24/7. This was changed in March 2020 due to the pandemic. Almost 3 years later, ATM is still only open during the branch's very limited business hours. This is very inconvenient as there are no other TDs nearby. All other ATMs in the area are open 24/7.The branch itself is nice. I've always found the staff to be friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful.Additionally, TD should remove the ATM at Bloor and Jane from google. This location has been closed for years. I imagine there have probably been many people unfamiliar with the Bloor West area who decided to try that ATM after finding the Runnymede location closed, and found no TD storefront.

Had a stressful and error-riddled experience renewing our mortgage. Reached out to branch management looking for reassurance that the issues we experienced were not the norm and that steps are in place to prevent them from happening again, but never received it.

Had an awful experience with a young FSM, Alina Zdrazhko, who was very difficult to deal with while renewing our mortgage. She treated my husband and me like second class citizens after we've been with this branch for 27 years. I found out after that a first time buyer got a much better mortgage rate than us. I asked the branch manager to remove her from our file but they did not. She keeps calling us and lea ing us messages trying to sell us other products. You may get good service here if you are Ukranian!

I've been with TD for over 25 years and have been extremely happy. However, a few months ago a friendly staff needed to escalate my issue/question regarding the exchange rate for an overseas trip I was planning.It went downhill from there. Dealing with the manager was extremely unpleasant. From not offering a proper greeting to being very curt, brusque and borderline rude during our interaction. It really felt like I was imposing and that she didn't wasn't interested in helping me and answering my questions.A big disappointment dealing with the manager of this branch. Let's hope her lack of customer service skills doesn't' rub off on the rest of the friendly staff.Cheers.

Helpful and accommodating to me as well as td does a lot of progressive community work as a whole so I fully recommend them as they have also done nothing but good things for me. The only problem is that for security reasons they make you use a phone when at a time I was having issues with phones due to mental health reasons. But even then the staff tried to work with me.

The ATM is only open during branch hours where you get the maximum potential exposure to Covid. This is unacceptably bad customer service at anytime, but especially during a pandemic. Take your business elsewhere.
