Wonderful area to spend an hour with kids and show fall colors. Trails are wide and easy, pretty short so I would say not more than 2 hours in total you will spend there. Huge parking lot, so everybody will have room. I didn't like to come with a dog, plants on the trails shoulders are sticky and living small seeds on the fur, that can be super dangerous especially if the dog is long coated. For me probably it is a one time visit, but if you are living somewhere in 10-15 minute area it is totally worth it!

Awesome place to experience fall colours. You will find all shades between yellow, orange, pink and red.Hiking track is a bit slopy so go on dry days, with good shoes. It's NOT dangerous but on rainy days one must be careful. Otherwise it's a must go place in fall months.Trail has arrow markers to keep patrons on track.Ample of parking available.

Went for the Maple Syrup festival with my toddler, and they did a wonderful job with the event for all ages. The only suggestion would be to advertise on the event page that there is an additional cost for things such as the horse-drawn carriage, taffy etc and it is cash only. I was thankful that I had just enough cash on me, but I saw many people scrambling for cash and digging through change to enjoy the extras.

Stopped here to stretch my legs on Easter driving home from my brother's. It's not a big park, mostly focused on the sugar shack and maple syrup collection. Have to admit I nerded out a bit amongst the sugar maples. It's a more modern setup than I am used to seeing so that was something. Nice views from the sugar shack. Also connects to a regional trail system that looks to go on for miles.

We went here for the Maple Syrup festival. It was a wonderful experience. The park volunteers/staff were friendly and very knowledgeable. It is a real good place for children. Must visit if you are in the eastern Durham region ☺️

It’s a small park that’s focussed on maple syrup collection. There is a pay and display parking lot ($6) at the intersection of Simcoe and Coates. There are two short trails - one goes through the maple trees, and another goes through the meadows. Both are lovely. Dogs allowed on leash - of course, you have to exercise caution with respect to the wild parsnip and any insects. I’d like to visit again during the maple syrup festival!

We joined the maple syrup festival today, and the experience was great! The weather was fantastic. The place is quite nicely maintained. The trail is about 400m, leading you to see the house where maple syrup is made of. The house is at the left side of the end of the trail. And on the right, there were several interactive sections for kids to explore: two giant woodened connect 4, one giant pot, showing how people concentrated the syrup, and so on. There is also a washroom next to the pot and alcohol was provided just outside for hygiene purposes, which is nice. The trail is not a loop, so in order to go out, just follow the original path. On your way out, there are story boards telling the story of Grandpa's Sugar Bush". It's very nicely organized overall!"
