Pro tip: order the fried chickenI was hesitant to go when I saw the review rating. I now regret not finding out about this spot sooner. It had a lovely interior with very comfortable seating.Everything we ordered was delicious.Pro tip2: order a sandwich and add $2 for the full size French onion soup. (It's pricey on the menu, but my friends did agree it did look like a $11 soup.)We did the fried chicken $15, fish and chips $18 and a avocado bacon chicken sandwich $16 with the French onion soup ($2 upcharge).Everything we ordered we loved. I was surprised mostly because of the low rating I saw on Google. The food definitely exceeded our expectations. This restaurant has been through a few changes I was told by my friend. Most of the lower ratings I think are from before. This restaurant is located inside the Hilton Hotel at 1800 Wellington. There is ample parking in the hotel parking lot.I didn't notice any special deals going on. Would love it if they did have something. We did have some minor service issues (they did not ask if we wanted salad or fries and assumed fries), but that was about all. They were exceptionally patient as we were catching up and not ordering right away

Steak was 5 out of 10, meat itself was probably not grilled but cooked on pan, half inch thickness. It didn't have that meaty taste, not dry (thanks universe) but not as juicy as at The Keg. I ordered medium and it was like almost well done. They did a good job to add flavor with mushrooms, little greens, garlic and some herbs. The vine Cote Mas Rose was OKish. I got this fortified taste impression.

Awful. Super slow service. Subpar food. Staff is not that friendly. Ridiculously overpriced. Stay at the Sandman and go to Denny's instead. At least at Denny's you get your food within a reasonable time. I ordered garlic prawns and after almost an hour of waiting, the garlic was was burned, giving the prawns an awful bitter taste. Can I give this place negative stars???

Nice bar - food quality was excellent. It is a bit pricey, but absolutely worth the few extra dollars. Best calamari I have ever had. Service was also excellent. Hidden gem.

Nice place for a dinner date- beautiful decor and overall atmosphere. Our waitress was very pleasant and we both enjoyed our meals. Some may argue it is expensive, but we left full and pleased with the overall experience at The Oak & Grain.

As a result of staying at the hotel, we got vouchers for some appetizers and drinks. There's no kids menu per say, but chicken fingers and fries are available as is grilled cheese sandwiches for kids. Our party of 6, enjoyed the braised beef most of all. The burger was good sized. My salmon was done well. The stand out for me was the sauteed mushrooms, as were the tempura veggies. Our one gripe was the butter chicken, which was a bit on the spicy side, even after confirming it wasnt spicy. Our waitress, Sara, was lovely and attentive. Like others have stated, this place isn't cheap, but it is tasty with generous portions.

I was treating myself to a Birthday dinner. As I'm not from this area I used internet and reviews to help me chose where to eat.(Google info needs updated)To my dismay the true menu was lacking a few things (everything I wanted) that attracted me to the location. Hoping for French Onion soup, fried Chicken, apple pie with ice cream. I had Chicken wings (they were very good) Fish and chips and no dessert. The fries that came with were cold and the fish a bit overcooked. I asked for Malt vinegar and was given clear basic vinegar. So after not getting what I had hoped for and eating sub par food paying $49.28 didn't help my already salty attitude.

The food is good. Nice bar restaurant atmosphere that’s inside the Hilton hotel.bar has high chairs and centered in the restaurant. Offers big screen hdtvs to watch sports games with friends or family. They do offer lunch and dinner specials here as well. And they offer drink specials. Location is close to the airport and other places to enjoy. Servers were nice and they provided good service and recommendations of what’s good to try out to eat or drink. Overall good spot if you are staying at the Hilton Winnipeg

Just far from city center, closet to the air sport. Worth the trip though. Spacious with accommodating and friendly staff. I had calamari , bacon and cheese burger with vegetable salad. Their coffee is not good though.
