Auberge St. Jacques

Our room was on the second floor even though we were a family of four including two infants. It was very difficult for us to get to our room every time we went out. Also, our room didn’t have a closet. We only had some small kitchen cabinets which were not very convenient to use. Overall, we liked the hotel as it was very clean and well-located. The staff were very friendly as well.

First two rooms offered had smell of smoking, third room was ok, however it seems that somebody entered the room (some items moved) when I was outside. Reported incident to the front desk, but they denied any knowledge of it.

Room was spacious and I suspect recently renovated as everything was clean and shiny. TV worked well. Coffee from the office was fantastic

I just wanted to add a review to stay away from this hotel. I recently booked a stay same day and unfortunately had to cancel but the manager at the hotel declined to give me a refund. it is very unfortunate that they deemed more important to take my $ 139.00 instead of building good will and understand that sometimes travel changes itineraries and they declined to refund me. Would never book to this hotel ever. Shameful. My fault but will be more careful next time. In the meantime enjoy my booking. You took money without rendering anything back. Really shameful. I also booked this through Expedia for which i won't use ever again either as they proved to be useless as well. They offered no help either. Well lesson learned. Enjoy.......

My impressions of this hotel are the most positive and pleasant. AND THIS IS NOT ONLY DUE TO THE FACT THAT THE HOTEL IS COZY ITSELF, THE STAFF IS POLITE AND ATTENTIVE, AND THE ROOM IS CLEAN AND TIDY. Of course, good transport accessibility, optimal price/quality ratio, comfort in general are always important when choosing a hotel. And it's all there. But THE MOST VALUABLE FOR ME IS WHAT REMAINS AFTER THE TRIP AND WHAT I WOULD LIKE TO WRITE ABOUT IS EMOTIONS. And this is what you will remember for many years to come. It is also something that not all hotels can boast of. And it does not always depend on the number of stars of the hotel and the price. This is the atmosphere that you feel when you are greeted at the entrance, when your opinion is asked, when you can relax in peace in your room, when everything is thought out in detail before you ask about it.When my wife and I booked a stay in this hotel, we wondered why the hotel had such a high rating. Ordinary photos simply do not convey the whole atmosphere. Before that, my wife and I traveled quite a lot, saw different hotels in different price range, and thought that it was difficult to indulge us. But WHEN WE ARRIVED AND SETTLED IN, I REALIZED THAT I WOULD DEFINITELY RETURN AGAIN AND CHOOSE MORE DAYS FOR MY VACATION.Liked a lot:- hotel is homely and cozy;- staff is very polite and attentive to guests;- room is very clean and tidy;- interior of the room is elegant;- it is noticeable that the bed, furniture and renovation is brand new.

I had a great stay at this motel! The room was nice with a beautiful bathroom and there was a refrigerator and microwave. The tv worked and was easy to operate. Bed was comfortable. No problems with wifi. I felt safe and the neighborhood appeared safe; metro station was an easy 15 minute walk and I did not feel uncomfortable walking at night. Several places to eat close by and a bus station in front of the motel. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Very nice place!

The location is right on a good transit route and the place is clean. However, the beds are not comfortable and there's no safety lock on the door. It's literally just the knob, I didn't feel safe at all. If they hadn't already charged me for the second night, I would've checked out and give somewhere else. My back hurt so much from the bed!
