Great place to work

Saw a bunch of people on the side of the road by a sea of red. Pulled over and read about how these cranberries will be made into craisins! I appreciate how Ocean Spray put up a sign to help educate us! Only down is that there wasn’t really any spots to stand and walk so not sure how safe it is. Anyway, thanks for teaching me something about cranberries! :)

people have come and gone from this processing plant cause its a seasonal gig. damn a lot of us from all walks of life had so much fun being apart of the harvest. I love hearing all the stories of all the people and working along side to be part of such an operation- all along highway 17, hwy 91, all in Langley/surrey/delta and even on the island cranberry bogs as massive and most of those get processed at this plant making for a longer then usual harvest season. While it pales in comparison to Wisconsin, south coast BC is 80% of the cranberry growth and processing for the pac northwest region- the Fraser river, the Salish Sea, the weather climate and of course the low loonie all account for this and make the southern states pale in comparison. Quite the operation quite the experience to be apart of. Some of the people are amazing...however its not prefect- a little bit of drama can be unsettling at times, fair enough, work through it, keep your head down and do your best even if its boring/stressful at times. This can be an awesome place late Sept to work at when your seeking some solid work for experience or hours, despite paycheck, etc. just don't expect it to last- work dries up in November and your out the door, with little room for advancement.If you have the time during this time give them a ring to see what its about, just know that its ultimately a temporary place work wise
