Long Sault Motel

Booger walls. No hot water in the kitchen. Stains on everything. Hair on everything. Permanent resident smokes outside your door even though they live at the opposite end of the motel.

Great place, excellent location, good price. Beds had white sheets which you only see in Hotels and not motels. Location is across river and very peaceful. Plenty of parking area.

Keeping in mind that this is rated as a 2-star hotel, it’s top notch for that. There may be stains, etc, but the staff is very accommodating and friendly, the complimentary coffee in the room is actually decent (they even gave me extra at no charge), and the nearby trails are nice, considering it is a dog friendly motel….For those who complain about shower pressure, this one can peel off your top layer of skin, it’s pretty intense.

It's was not comfortable , the mattress were either very soft on the other bed also it was not very confusing. The chair was sinking from one side. Ac was making so much noise. The price they charged you can get better options if you drive 15 minutes more or book early at any standard motel . The guy at the counter was very unprofessional. When asked if the breakfast is included in the price he said you can go to the other motel near by. Will not recommend this motel only if you have no other option left you can go here .

AVOID. I genuinely thought the negative reviews for this motel must have been exaggerated - they are not. You have been warned.Booked six weeks ahead; called a week before to confirm, and no record of booking, so rebooked. On arrival, no record of booking. Still, a room was provided, without friendliness, without apology.SO VERY, VERY DIRTY, absolutely disgusting: loads of bugs (living and dead), smears and marks on walls, old food in kitchen (and drain flies in kitchen and bathroom), dirty bathroom, dirty fridge. Room smelled BAD. Wouldn't have showered there if I had been paid. Air conditioning is in a whole other room from the beds, noisy, and not effective at all. Beds were HORRIFIC - one was visibly sinking to the floor with nothing placed on it - unable to sleep here. Other bed had a mattress shorter than the frame. Cleanliness of sheets was questionable - I slept on top of the short bed in my own sleeping bag.This motel has a decent location, but also has low income, long term residents, one of whom was incredibly rude as I took in my bags. The room next to mine was being used for an all-night party (walls are paper thin), and someone was setting off fireworks in the parking lot after 2am. Couldn't leave soon enough, and wished there had been ANY other option that late in the day.Not recommended in ANY way - total roach motel. Not convinced that sleeping outside would have been worse - it definitely would have been safer and smelled better. Left very early in the morning. Public health needs to close this place down.

I'm only giving this a 1 star because there was nothing lower. Friendly staff and good location. Nice to have a kitchen area at back of room, but one of the 2 beds was broken, extremely dirty bathroom (I was just too tired to try to find something else).

Great water pressure. Staff very nice. Basic room. Room was as advertised. Street quiet. Lots of parking. It's not glamourous. Beds very basic. Air conditioner did good job cooling down room.Our rooms door had clearly been forced open in past. ( damage quite visible) .
