Chilliwack General Hospital: Emergency Room

Will post as a question. When I fell and went to emergency via ambulance and told emergency doctor that i fell foward with arm extended and palm of hand it which was fully open hits concrete floor first and my arms buckles and I roll onto my shoulder. What do you as a doctor treat. I also tell doctor have cut on hand.Does doctor look at entire arm including hand, just hands, just lower arm or just upper arm?

From the triage entrance to the nurses (Skye and another nurse I forgot her name) Dr Wiebe, outstanding care and empathy for issue I had. They were so kind and patient, even with all the stress they are under. Thank you so much for taking care of me!

I spent the day in the ER because my left hip dislocated. My wife called 911 and the Columbia Valley Fire Department sent their first responders right away. They got me comfortable and out of the rain and waited with me to turn over my care when the ambulance arrived. The paramedics were very professional and took great care of me until they turned me over to the Chilliwack Hospital staff. The doctors and nurses and other staff there treated me with utmost care and professionalism. I cannot thank them enough for their help today. The doctors were caring but upfront in explaining my options and I really appreciate the honesty they gave me. Thank you so much to the staff at CGH for all you do. Not just for me but for ALL you sacrifice to help others.

They answer to act that they are not able to listen and in 2 sec disconnect phone.

Had a biking incident that needed stitches. Didn’t clean the cut, didn’t administer anything for the pain. Asked if I thought I was going into shock and gave me blanket. Been waiting for two hours. Still waiting, but at least it stopped bleeding now…

If I could give it zero stars I would. I went in with a doctor's note (URGENT) asking for an emergency ultra sound, after waiting for 8+ hours, they told me they wouldn't be a le to do it that day(well night by the time they told me) and that they would try for before Monday. Sunday I got a call to let me know I had an appointment to get am ultra sound done the following morning at 730am. I showed up at 710am, only to be told that the hospital doctor's had ordered a CT scan. I showed the lady the piece of paper from my doctor asking for emergency ultra sound. I went ahead and did the CT scan was told she would fastbtrack my ultra sound well now I am on week 2 of waiting for a phone call with an appointment to get one I am in so much pain I can barely stand up to walk. How do you make that mistake????

To the Er doctor on duty at 530pm on Aug1st 2022. U are THE worst and least competent, empathic and horrible doctor or i should say human being i've Ever seen in my entire 40years life. Addressing a 20yrs old girl who was suffering from great pain by dramatic". Unbelievable. Will never go back. Ever again"

I have a 3 weeks baby and she was crying all day , we took her to emergency and they said we have to wait in lobby as there are so many people in line and it might take to several hours and they were saying that it’s everywhere like that . There was just one person behind the glass to check patient information. After 2 hours waiting while my baby was still crying I decided to take her to Abbotsford hospital and there was 4 open lines for patients and they sent my kids right away inside. I am not sad because lack of enough staff . I am sad why they lied it’s everywhere like that . They could simply said if you think is necessary take her to a bigger hospital. It’s insane to listen to a loud baby crying and just sit and don’t do anything.

Only go if you are in a life/limb threatening situation. It is so undersized and understaffed for our population that it is 'unhealthy' - direct quote from a RN who works there. Three times this month I had life threatening breathing issues and fevers. I was seen QUICKLY and once neg for covid, put on a stretcher in hallway and given a sleeping pill and earplugs to sleep.It is loud, out of control, crowded and simply inhumane treatment for those who are terribly sick and fragile.
