Vivid Nail Lounge

Went there for the first and only time in mid summer. The girls were really nice but she made my nails really look misshapen. It was very expensive for what was done. My sister also had her nails done at the same time and she was also really unhappy with them. We didn’t say anything because the appointment lasted almost 3 hours and we just wanted to get out of there by the end of it. The girl who did my nails wore the same pair of latex gloves the entire time and never washed her hands or changed the gloves and I could see all the sweat in her gloves and the nail grit was all over the outside of the gloves. She also got nail polish all over her gloves and my hands and at the end gave me a super gross hand massage with lotion that was very gritty because of the nail grit stuck to the gloves. It did not feel nice or hygienic. I feel bad about posting this review but it was pretty unacceptable service. I don’t blame the girls as maybe they have not had proper training.

The lady told me the colour I picked for my gel manicure will need a base colour and therefore started out with a colour that was a lot brighter, I clarified and she confirmed a couple of times that it was just the base colour, she put a few coats of that. Then she put a coat of the ‘actual colour’ that didn’t actually do anything and when I told her that is not what I picked, she started getting annoyed at me and telling me this is what I picked and after comparing it to the one I actually picked from the stack she said it looks different cause that’s against a white background. This wasn’t the case, the colour was way off. She then put another coat on top that fixed it by like 5%, I felt like I didn’t have any other option so I was just like whatever just get it over with.We all make mistakes and I’d probably be fine if she admitted it and helped me come up with a solution, I’m more upset that instead of admitting it she was the one getting annoyed at me and blaming me passive aggressively. Now I’m stuck with a colour that I really don’t like and does not suit me at all.I’ve been to a lot of different nail salons cause I move around a lot and have often left with colours that don’t look exactly like what I show them, understandably so, but never one that has been completely off and that I have left being unhappy with. Now I have to go spend more money to get it fixed or be stuck with this for multiple events I have coming up. Literally never going back here.

I love the ambiance of this place. It's like getting pampered in the comfort of your own home, but not at home. I wish my pedicurist had been a little more aggressive with my calluses, but otherwise it was great!

This was my first visit here and I enjoyed the service. I called ahead and made an appointment. Inside is very clean. Even the washroom was very clean and smelled pleasant. There is a big screen TV they have a movie playing on. I would come back here again. Thank you.

The chairs are not comfortable and I felt rushed with their services.I understand my friend was running late due to traffic but the employees didn’t make it any better.Although they did remind us to be on time, but I feel like they can be nicer on the way they handle it.The place was clean and for $34 it’s not bad but for sure not the greatest.

I have been going to Vivid since they opened in North Burnaby and have never been disappointed. Magazine perfect manicures and shellac polish that lasts forever!

Fantastic nail salon with very kind ladies. Clean, efficient and the best part is they put a movie with subtitles on a large tv that is on the loop so you can watch something while you get your nails done! Highly recommend!

Great location, extremely clean inside, professional and hard working efficient women! You won't find a better deal in the Lower Mainland either!

I went here for the first time today. Very clean and beautiful inside! The ladies who work here are very lovely as well! :) So many colours to choose from :D Thank you for the wonderful afternoon and I will be back again! <3

Friendly staff but extremely slow. I I had a full gel-x set done and instead of using the gel-x brand of tips the lady used some unknown brand I’ve never seen before and as soon as she put them on I regretted them because they were not straight and had a weird bump on it even after she filed them down. By doing so she also filed my nail bed too much it hurt. She also added what I think is builder gel? Anyways, she spent 2 hours on the simplest set of extension nails and they still turned out crooked and lumpy, I wish I could send a photo or a video. The tip of my nails were wider than my nail so they look like beaver tails. They costed me $105 and I’m just upset I spent so much on a poor set of nails.
