Budget Car Rental

Was very thankful for the help from rental agent Jason at the Vancouver Airport branch recently. We needed a last minute change in vehicle size, which he was able to accommodate for us. Very much appreciated. Changing the car size made the trip for us. Thank you Jason, well done!

Very very bad service. They Don’t care the customer. Please don’t rent car from them. Otherwise you will have Pastry trip Because a car with no battery in the last day. My wife my mom and two months baby stay at hotel parking lot waiting for the tow truck whole day, I and my father and tree year kid went to airport budget counter waited get a new car. I didn't even get it when we got to check in. My wife and two months baby took 10 packages went to airport by taxi in the last second because the budget didn’t give a new car yet. The manger was so rude to us. They didn’t care the baby cried they didn’t care the baby no milk. And everything was very very bad experience because their rental car no battery in the morning at your last day in your trip.

Nice clean new car. Except for sunroof shade was not closing. Great experience!Wish only to have had an attendant for night drop off, had to come in earlier to safely hand over a car on time to a person.

They know how to take the reservation, they just don’t know how to hold the reservation. Waited for an hour and a half for car that I reserved weeks before. All the people in the photo are also waiting for cars that they had reserved prior to arrival. Garbage service.

2 months after I rented here, they send me an email about a parking ticket for the car that was from AFTER I returned it. Unfortunately, they already have my credit card information so they've already stolen my money and I have to fight to get it back.Naturally, replies to the email go unanswered and the phone number they give you goes to a full voicemail box.So, go ahead and rent from here if you like getting scammed.EDIT: they did eventually refund my money. But it was still a big hassle opening a credit card dispute and trying for 2 weeks to contact someone at Budget and getting no response.

We had a reservation here and it took more than 30 minutes to get a car. Service was okay and I think they are understaffed. The car is cleaned with some minor damages.

My United Airlines flight got delayed 3x out of LAX to YVR (Vancouver, BC) on 6/29/2023 and although I thought I would totally miss my rental car but was so happy and thankful that the office remained open when I was half hour late and they were supposed to close half an hour ago at 12:30a.m. The Budget agent was extremely polite and efficient with my paperwork. Although I declined the extra rental car protection policy, he got on with the rest of the procedure and directed me to the parking space to pick up my car and do a self-inspection so I can get on my way ASAP. This was the fastest ever rental car pick-up experience I've ever had.

We rented the car from them in May. First of all they keep on charging us extra from what we have been told. We went to them and sorted out the situation even though they Charged us extra. But we let go that with promise to ourselves that we won't be booking any car from them again. After almost one and a half month they Charged us again for no reason. We have rented cars before from many different places but this was the worst experience we had. The whole conversation happened with Mona, who is the manager here. The customer service was so rude. I suggest everyone to not go here and even if you go do check your card statement even after 2 months because you never know when they will charge you for no reason. They are doing fraud by using our personal information.

In appreciation of the fact that there are a number of car rental horror stories out there, I'm posting to say that I did have a good experience with the Budget Car Rental company at the Vancouver International Airport. Thanks to all staff that contributed to a positive experience for me. Much appreciated.

Helpfull staff. Not pushy in order to sell me extra's. This is how you want to be treated. Great car. Very flexible when we diceded to extend our rental period (and for a very friendly price!).Great company. I can highly recommend them.
