Cannot recommend AREC enough, you will have no regrets with this company. I had them test samples I brought in with multiple substances and not only did they come back faster than they said but we had a misunderstanding when I dropped off the samples about which substance to get tested, they quickly ran a test to get the other materials done so I would be able to dispose of them before the long weekend.Dustin and his team - thank you so much!!

Quite literally, this company saved our lives. We were living in a house which had a serious, but invisible, mold condition. The condition had been impacting our family’s health for months (possibly years). But since there was no visual evidence of mold, we had been enduring our chronic fatigue, achiness, bleeding noses, shortness of breath, and difficulty breathing and looking at the possibility of fibromyalgia, arthritis, lung disorders, even cancer. We had begun to search for multiple causes for our health deterioration over a period of years, but we did not realize that it was airborne mold spores. Finally, after much internet searching, we asked AREC environmental to come and take a test to determine the air quality in the home. They were helpful, efficient and professional. They made an appointment immediately, showed up on time and took several samples. Approximately two weeks later, they provided a full detailed report which has been invaluable to us as we navigate(d) our next steps.Despite, absolutely no visual evidence of mold, even in the washroom, the test indicated such high levels of airborne mold contamination and it was recommended that we immediately stop our exposure to that “living” space. Subsequent renovations found that in addition to a leaking pipe, there was groundwater seepage into the foundations which had trapped moisture under the downstairs flooring. The flooring that was removed was filled with visual mold all between the tongue and groove laminate. It was impossible for us to know how this was impacting us since it was hidden. It has been almost a year since we left that house.The road to recovery from mold exposure is a long one and we have not fully recovered from our ordeal. However, our health has improved substantially and we are on the road to vitality and physical well being. For my part, I am learning to look at homes, not for their décor potential, but for their structural safety. In fact, I may even study building inspection because I never want this experience again for myself or any one!It is particularly upsetting to create a beautiful and gracious home for our family to flourish only to find that the very home that I worked so hard to maintain in a state of cozy calm, was causing profound health problems! The mold exposure causes symptoms that mimic other conditions. So please before you go for that 15 minute visit to the clinic to describe your symptoms, allow AREC to come and check your house to see if you are sick from environmental causes. Our current medical model is not funded sufficiently to be able to take a 360 degree holistic consideration of all the possible causes of illness and from our case, we know that mold is an invisible foe. If you or anyone you know is experiencing any unexplainable symptoms, it just might be the living environment.I would highly recommend AREC as they were at all times precise, efficient, and of course their sampling revealed the cause of our ill health. A huge bouquet of thanks to this devoted team who efficiently and compassionately helped us to get the information that we needed in order to make the necessary moves to preserve our quality of life.A side note is to know that mold is like a silent fire that grows invisibly under certain conditions. In our case, the moisture barrier of the foundation and perimeter drain had been breached. If I could, I would set up a non profit to assist families to access this critical reporting to ensure their safety. Great company. Everyone we spoke to have been professional, courteous and knowledgeable. The person who came and sampled our home was friendly, puntual, and abided by excellent covid protocols. The samples they took were discreet, and we received our results quickly. Can't say enough good things about them!

I am reviewing as a tenant of the property, not the person who requested this service. Inspector arrived 20 minutes early, when told the person she was supposed to meet wasn't there she still entered the property. No protocol for covid, no mask, no asking questions, no distancing. very unprofessional
