The wait staff was quick efficient and did a wonderful job. The atmosphere was lacking in ambiance and all you could hear was other guests talking loudly for no reason. The food had no character or authenticity, I imagined a few elementary school kids assembled our meals. I say assembled because the enchiladas were just tortillas filled with meat folded in half and sprinkled with cheese and sauce. So wet tacos to say the least. Maybe Google what an enchilada is? Too expensive for the quality of food.

It used to be much, much better. The wait for the food was long. I ordered 3 beef items and one was very tough, dry chicken. The rice was bland (as was much of the meal - it's Mexican which should never be bland). I asked for no added cilantro on top and my meal was covered in it. The filling of meat in each item was a very, very small amount. Loved this place before they moved but sadly, not now.

Food was very well prepared, steak sizzling with ample sides. The staff is very well organized. Wait time was minimal if you arrive at opening time. The facility is very spacious and has great views of the golf course.

They seated us.We had tortilla chips that were very stale like they'd been sitting out on the table the entire day. Freshmade chips served warm would've been great.I ordered shredded beef tostada's. They were supposed to be two flour tortillas fried with beef and beans. Oddly there was zero crispiness to the tortillas and for some reason they felt like a wet cardboard box and texture tasted about the same too. And the tortilla was pink. The beef smelled like a can of dogfood.He ordered a guacamole burger and didn't get the guacamole on his plate but they put it on mine. His burger looked like it was from the ones you buy premade. I tried a fry from his plate and the grease tasted old and had a nasty aftertaste. I asked for different basket of chips thinking they would've been more fresh. I didn't like the flavors. Gross. I suggest you get new flour and cornmeal if you plan on making your own tortillas. And don't serve day old refried tortilla chips and prefrozen hamburger patties. Add more flavor.

Food very good. 2 hour wait ridiculous. Can't stand at bar with a drink waiting for your table...see second sentence. Very happy they have a much nicer location but arriving at 510 pm and not being seated until 7 is unreadonable...and they don't accept reservations. We were there on a Thursday. Glad other there are quality choices in the area that will take reservations. Good luck if you give it a try. Oh, and the waitress was very nice...hostess not so much.

I have traveled all over the country and wherever I go I always look for a good Mexican restaurant. So I was amazed when I found Buen Apetito a number of years ago in Waterville, Maine. It was one of the absolute best I’ve ever been to anywhere in the US! But… they just moved to a new location in Waterville this year and it appears to me that they left all their great recipes behind. JMy wife and I went there for our anniversary last evening and ordered what had been our favorites. The Margaritas were OK but not as good. The chips and salsa was not good at all (not the same salsa recipes - bland), the Grand burritos were not the same, nothing remarkable. Only the verde sauce was good. Even the Spanish rice wasn’t as good. Don’t know what happened, but after enjoying their formerly excellent cuisine for a number of years, we won’t be going back.

We have been going for many, many years and it has always been our die hard, most recommended, go to place to eat. To no fault if their own they had to move locations which the new place is nice but I miss the old spot. I’m happy for the restaurant that they are so busy but it’s just not the same. One of the best parts about Mexican food is the chips and salsa and now you get barely enough salsa to go on two or three chips. Got take out and we got barely enough chips and salsa for one person much less the three meals we ordered. Fajitas were VERY light on the steak with excessive amount of veggies. Just wish it could go back to the way it was. Going to be sad to give it up completely but can’t see the multiple trips we used to make there in a month continuing with the way it is now.
