Drove out to see it and it's been taken down. The placard is too faded to read and there's no info about why it's been removed or whether it'll be replaced.

It's a nice place to visit and also a destination stop for Holland America cruise. The ship ms Zaandam was there. We stopped here for a short visit and a bite to eat.

This wasn’t a real destination on our day journey — more and afterthought, where you pass the sign and blurt, you wanna see a giant fiddle? My visiting mom thought it was a giant fiddlehead, which isn’t too far fetch to have a giant whatever to make your town famous (e.g. lobster, axe, covered bridge, etc).Clearly someone wanted to have a nice spot to put a fiddle, and unmarked tank, and a veterans monument. It wasn’t our highlight but it was different.
