Wonderful experience. Fiddler was unbelievably distracted and anxious but came home a well manoured young dog. Kristen is still there to answer our questions and guide us when needed.

Selecting Kristen for our dog training was a no brainer! Our 4 year old GSD Ace was very reactive to oncoming vehicles and walking him was stressful to say the least. If you are looking for a dog trainer in/near HRM, Kristen is your girl. We have a 2 year old german shepherd who was hyper and overly excited at times due to a lack of impulse control. She pulled on leash, would jump on visitors, bark at the front window when dogs were walking by, etc. We were unable to enjoy our dog to the fullest because she wasn't calm enough to take out in public. We've tried other dog trainers in the past that have recommended unrealistic and ineffective training methods. After doing a 3 week board and train with Kristen our girl is a whole new dog. She is calm and behaved and is now able to come with us wherever we go. We can't thank Kristen enough, she is the best!

Kristen is extremely knowledgeable and confident with her training and helped me and my large rescue dog overcome a lot of challenges, mostly with his reactivity to other dogs and strangers during his board and train session last summer. One thing that I love is that she is available and welcoming to any questions or concerns, even after the training session. It is very comforting to know that I am not alone with overcoming these previous and future issues and can always reach out if I have questions or concerns. I did not worry at all while he was away, as I know he was in the best of hands and Kristen was kind enough to provide updates with his progress.Looking forward to bringing my smaller rescue dog for her board & train with Kristen this summer to overcome similar reactivity issues and hopefully work on her separation anxiety!

Kristen has trained both of my husky pyrenees mixes and has done a fabulous job. I was at a point where I was lost with my dog Remi he was so reactive towards other dogs and strange people it was just out of control (lunging, nipping, growling, you name it he was doing it).My Aunt had similar issues with a dog of her own and passed Kristen's name on to me. After having sent Remi and seeing the amazing results I sent my girl Onyx who had just a few minor manner issues as I wanted her to be at the same level of training as Remi. Family members and friends who knew my dogs prior to training were absolutely floored by the results of thier polite behavior after training. I know the prices of dog training are scary and there's so many different styles of training but I after the results I seen with Kristen's training I would spend every penny of it again and again. I cannot praise her enough!! She is an absolute pleasure to deal with and wants nothing but the best for the dogs she trains, she treats them like her own. I continue to use her for boarding and when the time comes that I add a new member into my pack I would send them for training with her without any hesitation. Keep up the great work Kristen!! Taking our girls, Luna and Sophie, to Find Your Balance was a difficult decision however it changed our lives. Both girls were out of control. Luna and Sophie were reactive to the doorbell, car rides and anything that moved! I was no longer able to walk them due to their lunging, barking and dragging me to the ground. I had tried several different harnesses without success. Luna would run on the property chasing and barking at any cars that drove by our home. I reached out to several trainers and used their recommended techniques however none of them worked. Sophie is quite anxious and had become resource guarded. My biggest fear was that she would snap at one of the grandchildren or seriously harm Luna during one of their fights. We were at a loss of what to do. My journey to finding the perfect board and train led me to Kristen. After watching the videos in amazement and reading her reviews, I was convinced Kristen could help our girls. To say the least, the first time I saw Kristen walking the girls it brought me to tears. Kristen thank you for all that you do. You truly have changed our lives. I truly agree with another reviewer, we are very lucky to have a trainer of her caliber here on the East Coast.

It's hard to put in to words how the training Sierra (my dog) received with Kristen has changed our day to life for the better! Before training with Kristen I was nervous to take Sierra on walks at the park or have her around other dogs because she was unpredictable, would lunge at them, pull me around on the leash and was very vocal & embarrassing .. and I felt I had no control. At home she was destructive of the furniture and protective over the bed and the couch. Things were chaotic and I felt both Sierra and I were suffering with our quality of life. While in training I was thrilled to watch Sierra on Kristen's social media and blown away by the changes I was seeing in her behaviour. I did worry things would fall apart when she came home again. However, Kristen gave me all of the tools & training that I needed in order to continue with Sierra's training and improvements at home. I am so confident walking with her in public, having her off leash at my families house and she listens so well to commands at home as well! Training with Kristen was by far one of the best investments I've ever made and I would highly recommend her services!! My dog, who was once afraid of just about everything has built so much confidence she even jumps on the paddle board with me and paddles around the lake! Everyone who encountered Sierra before training and sees her now always mentions what a difference they see in both her behaviour and my confidence around her! Thank you Kristen!!

Refresher training as good as the initial training. We sent our 1 year old dog to Kristen in 2021. We participated in the 3-week board training. After the training, my dog has improved tremendously. He was extremely reactive before going to Kristen. He was a lot better but I still found he was not as good as the time he was with Kristen. So I contacted Kristen again after a year. She suggested refresher training for 5 days (honestly, I think I need the training more than the dog). Anyway, if you want the best training, go to Kristen. She is truly a dog lover and more importantly, she for sure knows how to train different kind of dog.

We had Cloud our reactive Goldendoodle for the 3 week board training with Kristen. Before that he was really pulling hard to the point that we were not able to take him on a walk. Cloud would also be reactive with dogs, people and anything that distracts him. After training with Kristen, Cloud had improved so much! It’s much easier now to take him for a walk! Kristen changed our lives haha. We can’t thank you enough, we appreciate all your help. Thank you so much!
